Rose's is the most widely available brand. It's in a clear bottle and is a very dark pink, nearly red. It's usually with the alcohol. Yes, I've used it but never for a candy apple. Good stuff. It's actually a pomegranate flavored syrup. However, I am sure there are no pomegranates in it.

Grenadine syrup on a steak? two words... Yu uk! ;-) a good cut like ribeye steak 1-1/2 Inches thick, needs only salt and fresh ground pepper cooked over a high flame to break down the fat. I use melted butter over the steak while cooking to increase the flame. After the steak is cooked, I let it rest for 5 minutes and pour the juices from the steak over it. It doesn't get any better than that. Grenadine is cherry juice, I have never tried this on a steak, but I would never cover up the flavor of a good steak with anything. Just my opinion through 30 years of cooking steaks. :-)

Mhhh... Grenadine is commonly used in bars so maybe you should go to the liquors' section. It could help if you ask them for "syrup". Syrup is more used on mixing drinks because it wont leave little grains unlike sugar. So, if you don't find "grenadine" you can always use simple syrup and add red edible coloring to it.

Yes, I have used it. Think on a tequila sunrise. Thats what gives the red color to it. Hope I helped.

If you live in a state like me the only alcohol they sell in a grocery is beer and wine coolers. But I can find grenadine around the soda ailse with the Bloody Mary Mix and Maragrita Mixes.

Grenadine is red like a cherry but is made of pomegrante extracts not cherry. Common misconception. And I used to bartend too.

Check in the liquor section with the mixers. Otherwise, maybe with the pickles. Grenadine is a cherry syrup and candied cherries are usually in the pickle section.

Used it in making drinks -- I used to bartend.

A lot of times it is actually in the aisle where you find lemon juice. Real lemon juice. That is along with baking goods sometimes or with the other juices. Check there if you don't see it near the alcohol.

it's used to make tequila sunrises & should be with the mixers for drinks, like with the tonic water, margarita mix, etc. check around the soda pop & snacks. if you can't find it, go to a liquor store, they'll be sure to have it. i've used it for mixing drinks, never made candied apples before.
