Adultery is when you are married or have been married (like if you get divorced then remarry) and you have sex with someone other than your spouse.
Fornication is sex before marriage.
Fornication is not in the 10 commandments, but it is listed as a sin... along with the open ended "sexual immorality" which can mean anything.
Men having sex with men is specifically condemned as an abomination, though women are never included in that. The Bible never says why it's a sin. It also never says that they can't be married. Perhaps, if they were married it would not be a sin.
Either way, consider all the Christians that are on a second marriage. They are committing adultery.

No, if your not married it would mean that you don't have a spouse. Sex represents the two souls are one again. Same with marriage. The man, and a woman are joined together. They are one. It goes back all the way to Adam, and Eve. When God toke Adam's rib to make Eve. You can only have sex until you are married. If you are not married, but have sex then it is considered adultery, because it is what God had not attended. Just like same sex. It's equally a sin.

Adultery is the failure to keep a covenant promise or to be faithful (marriage).. The covenant promise is the most highly honored committment there is. It is so honored, that God Himself will witness your covenant or promise to marriage. God takes it serious when two people say that they will stay together till death do them part. So, adultery is like a form of treacherous deceit, because you made a vow to be faithful and then you backed out. So, if you sow deceit in a marriage, somewhere down the line you will reap it back to yourself. However, if you are not marriend and you are just boyfriend and girfriend, it is not considered adultery. This what is called just plain old fornication. Or sexual sin, and sometimes depending on how man sexual partners you had, whoremonging. God created the relationships between a man and a woman to be based on a covenant promise. That's why the scripture says that a man shall leave his father and mother to be with his wife and they shall become one flesh. Because once you enter into relationship you are now joined and inseperatable.

When married, sex outside the marriage is adultery. Otherwise unmarried sex is not illegal except for personal belief. For a Christian it is called fornication, a sin. Marriage is the way to go rather than burn with passion. The most important thing to remember is that God loves you, and if you do sin, be quick to repent. Being baptized in the Holy Spirit empowers one to be able to overcome weaknesses. The only unforgiveable sins are blaspheming the Holy Spirit, and unforgiveness.

There's a technical difference between adultery and fornication, according to the Catholic Church.
Both refer to having sex outside of marriage. If either person is married (not to one another, of course!), it is considered adultery. If neither is married, it is called fornication.
So if you are not married and are having sex with another unmarried person, you are NOT an adulterer - just a fornicator.
Hope that helps.

The second paragraph does not make sense. Adultry has to do with either both people are married to others or one is married to another and it could be having sex or it could be emotional intimacy too. Strip clubs, internet porn, girly mags, etc., all are a form of adultry too. Funny how guys seem to forget that.
It is when you are doing something with another, other than a spouse, that you should be only doing with your spouse.

No. Adultery is the process of having sexual relations when one party or both are within the bonds of wedlock, but not with each other. Fornication results when neither parties having sex are married.
