well me and my boyfriend always joke about not having anything in common cause we really don't, but the other day i said that me and my friend had more in common than us, and he thought it was funny but later the sister was asking him like "what's with that" and then the next day she starts going on this rant about "how could she say that" and stuff about me, and now i don't know what to do to get back on her good side or get her to forget about it. any ideas?

well, he's staying with her for the summer so the only way to see him is through her, so i don't want her mad at me and saying that i can't see him and things.
and she's a lot older than me

It sounds like the sister has a fixed belief that people are supposed to have a lot in common to be in relationship, and that you are somehow disrespecting her brother if you don't.
The thing is, you don't have to have a lot in common. Every relationship is unique. You get to choose what value you bring to and take from the relationship. If it's working, that's the point.
Meanwhile, don't worry about her. Care for her as a person, as your own sister. Know that she's in the perfect place in her life and learning things too. That's the purpose of life, and this has challenged her in ways that you are not accountable for. But, you are accountable to be clear about who you are and what you are doing here. Let that be in your relationship with her and her brother and things will work out for your highest good.
Enjoy

now that sounds like some immature sh*t right there..... girl u arent going out with his sister so whatever she says shouldnt matter to u... all u should care about is that she is thinking bout u all the time which is evident because she must have thought long and hard about all the negative things she said about u..... and the only way u can get on her good side is by sucking up and she will still only pretend she likes u... do u really have the time and enrgy to waste on her?? think about it and fyi opposites really do attract so he needs to get over it

It sounds like a sister who loves her brother, and knows other women. Why did you bring up the statement about you having more in common with your friend than with your bf? It sounds like she's asking that same question, and is suspecting you of having feelings for your other friend.

Give it some time, she should be fine. The sister sounds like she is younger than you or just about 3 years older.

She is just lookin out for her brother, making sure he doesnt get hurt or anythin just talk to her and tell her u were just jokin and it is a "game" you and your boyfriend do it was harmless. My lil sister once went to my boyfriends work (grocery store) with my dad and even thou i didnt tell her to say anythin he told him that i wanted to tell him i loved him which was ok but he told her to tell me that he says bullshyt and she came home she was mad and upset cause she didnt want to tell me that she thought that it would hurt me but my dad told her to stay out of my business or games and when she told me i laughed and she asked y i was laughin and not being upset and i told her every once in awhile one of us will say somethin like that about missin each other, of when one of us say i love you or something but we are just foolin around and dont mean it and then my bf talked to her and said the same thing and then she wasnt mad at him anymore. well i hope my advice and experience with a similar situation as u helps you.

Sounds like his siter needs to grow up and mind her own business..As long as it didn't bother your bf..I wouldn't give her another thought ...except to tell her to get over it
