why are people bashing sex offender if they don't have claim to suport it by saying sex offender have higher % of reoffending while
I can prove that they really don't the link from the GOVERMENT show that less then 1 % do reoffend.

* Within 3 years following their release, 5.3% of sex offenders (men who had committed rape or sexual assault) were rearrested for another sex crime.

Compared to non-sex offenders released from State prisons, released sex offenders were 4 times more likely to be rearrested for a sex crime. (this does NOT mean sex offender reoffended it is a comparing from bank robber are less likely to do a sex crime then a sex offender will and it still less then 1%)

People are bashing sex offenders because they are too ignorant to learn the truth for themselves. They are morons who listen to the moron politicians. The sad thing is these politicians have the truth right in front of them but choose to ignore it!

Before anyone asks, NO, I am not a sex offender. However, I was molested as a child twice. But I know God and he has taught me forgiveness, which is the road to recovery and healing.

A drug dealer is more likely to sexually assault and even kill a child than a Rehabilitated sex offender. Look at the most recent cases: Couey - Cocaine, Ott - Cocaine, Duncan - all kinds of drugs, Smith (not a sex offender), told the judge he was on heroine and crack the day he grabbed, assaulted and killed Carlie Brucia. Please also note, these children were not being supervised by their parents. I am not saying that gives a person the right to harm the child, I am just saying the parent left the child open to it by not supervising the child.

So, what's your point? The DOJ study was only one, and it was back in 1994 and only tracked for 3 years -- and it doesn't say that less than 1% reoffend. The Geocities link is a personal web page, not the most reliable of sources.

u may perceive it as bashing these sex offenders.. ARE PEOPLE TRYING TO ASSAULT THEM>>SEXUALLY>.??? i doubt it .. god- no matter what I have seen as a law for punishment of sex offenders is WAY LESS OF WHAT THE PUNISHMENT OF THEIR VICTIMS HAVE! But I do
KNOW there NEEDS to be tighter laws for Any who offend in this manner..any violent crime DUH!-
but knowing our federal and states govt.s are trying hard to compromise on both parties the sex offenders and the victims..and to your q directly..
MAYBE PEOPLE ARE SO SCARED THAT THE NUMBERS OF THE SEX OFFENDERS OUTWEIGH
OUR PROTECTION OF THE VICTIMS.. past or future victims..?

Are you one of them?If not then why you feel so bad about it.If yes then fight for the right as in your country human right is so powerful.Then here again you got to be strong not to repeat the same mistake again.That only for you can the so said rapist be as strong as you.Why don't you from a group that will help them as well as giving this group a new identity.So that each & everyone can walk with their head up saying I have change for the better.The past was a foolish mistake so can you as we are human.

even 1% is one to many or .001 is way to many. our kids need protection from scum bags and child killers. child killers and child rapest need to be taken out back and shot. hell ill even pay for the ammo.
