No-but so what. I have found I don't have to agree, it is not my decision to hire there or not. I can only--- not agree that I have the power to do.

I feel any one who works hard is a key to the economy.....regardless of race.

As a manager it is hard to decipher who is going to "bring it" and who isn't. I have never used race as a deciding factor.

I think that a better quote would have been "quality workers fill a a need to the economy".

Immigrants have a strong work ethic and that intimidates alot of people.

Most AMERICANS are "immigrant" workers or descendants of immigrants. Illegal aliens on the other hand only lower wages for for Americans by accepting jobs for under the counter pay below minimum wage. Illegal aliens bring crime (1 in 6 Ariz. prisoners are MEXICAN, 90% of all outstanding MURDER warrants in L.A. are for MEXICANS). Illegal aliens steal healthcare and education while shipping back ill gotten funds to Mexico. Illegal aliens have no place in the United States, except in prison or on buses back to Mexico.

Yes, American immigrants fill the needs of the American economy. America has no need or use for illegal aliens.

No. Why should they have to be "illegal" immigrants to fill that need. I want "legal" immigrants to fill any need in the economy. Why is that so hard to expect? I want the corporations and businesses that hire them to be paying for the costs of them being here, not the middle to low income residents of the USA via taxation. I don't want to be taking advantage of a "slave" labour type of people. I don't want these people to have to rely on American social services to prop them up because of the corporations and businesses taking advantage of them. If they have to work here, let them be here legally and earn a wage in which they pay all their fair share of taxes and so can hold their heads up high and not feel like they are the bottom dregs of society. I want the borders sewn up and I want all the illegal immigrants here now to be rounded up and deported and I want them to apply through the legal channels to get here. I want all the businesses who hire them to be prosecuted and fined to the extent that they no longer will find it profitable to hire illegal immigrants. I want all illegal immigrants to become legal immigrants or legal "temporary" workers so no one can take advantage of them any longer and they can pay their fair share for all the services they use in the USA, but I don't want them to get this through "amnesty." I want them to go back and do it the right way.

They sure do, for all those jobs that are for people who weren't smart enough to go to college some one has to do them, might as well do them at 1/4th the rate some "american" guy would do them. I think its a great idea, I can hire 12 guys for the price of 3 unskilled labor and they work twice as hard and always show up on time.

Hmmm? Legal or ILLEGAL, you CANNOT lump them together. It is like saying that if you are attacked and you fight back that YOU are guilty of disrupting the peace as well as the attacker was.

You cannot lump the law abiding in with the action of the criminal, in EITHER case!

Even if outwardly their actions seem to look alike!

Legal immigrants as well as people born here are what combine to make America great, the diversity of culture IS good.
It should teach us to be more accepting of what is different and strange. It should calm our fears because of familiarity.

NONE of the above leads us to accept criminal behavior!
The opposite should be true, seeing as how we do our level best to incorporate ALL kinds of culture in this country (more than any other, I am sure of that!).
Criminal actions should be severely treated to discourage it from happening again.
THE PUNISHMENT MUST BE WORSE THAN THE OFFENSE!

they want a better life? so? WHO ON EARTH DOESN"T?

I can buy your ripped off DVD player for $10, remote and all. Should I?

I can buy the answers to the final of my med exam and become a doctor, even though I am not competent. Should I?

There are so many easy ways to do things when one breaks the law!

The thief wants a better life. HE wants what you thought would make YOUR life better!

most every crime comes down to someone wanting something and they break the law to attain it, from the smallest shoplift to the grossest murder for hire!

Most laws were thought out and not just spuriously thrown together (even BAD ones!)

There exists LEGAL means to correct bad laws, even to amend our legal basis the US Constitution.

legal immigrants, yes.

illegals? NO WAY!

Last time I checked, all history books refer to USA as an "inmigrant country".

There are jews, there are italians, there are british and so on, the issue is: Who REALLY gets the benefits from all this arguments?

Some food for thought: how many "americans" have a last name that is truly american?. Aren't those "Native Americans"? Are they inmigrant as well?
