Guess I could stop it by dunking him in boiling water for 10 minutes then dehair him like a hog.However, I would like to keep him mobile, I don't want to have to put rooling skates on his feet to get him to move. The Rigamortus is the problem with this solution

Brush the cat daily. And if you can hold him/her down give it a bath with a kitty shampoo. That's what I have to with mine during the summer to keep floating fur to a mininum.

brush him daily, also get very good quality dry cat food, like iams science diet, and dont give him canned food at all, often they are not getting enough nutrition which makes them shed.

try diping him in acid, then atatching electodes to his tail that should do it.
