Three things worth mentioning quickly.
I believe God is the origin and creator of all things. I do not know by what means the world was created, but I do suspect that science is on the right track toward knowing the truth.
I believe there is a hell. Hell is where injustices from this lifetime are sorted out. If I didn't believe in hell, I could not be a pacifist, because I would want to make evildoers pay for their wrongs in this lifetime, since there would be no punishment for them in eternity.
Finally, I believe that God has a wonderful knack for irony. He exalts the lowly, he humbles the proud, he gives the world to the meek and to peacemakers. Incarnate in an insignificant man in an insignificant town in an insignificant province of the world's greatest empire, he becomes the most important person in the history of the world. He derives joy from sadness and life from death. He keeps me on my toes!

Everything is real. God, evil and everything in between. The most important to believe in is God. I dont pay attention to the details of the Bible (no offense to anyone) because there are so many different versions of it. Each religion has a different view or theory about it. Who is to say which one is correct? All I need to do is have faith in the lord. Good things and bad things happen to everybody. If you trust and believe in love and faith and do good in your life, live free of hatred and jealousy, and life will bring good things.

My faith is that life is here and so are we. there is no big man pulling the strings. I stand of my own accord and dont need to be saved. I have no need of the comfort of a all knowing seeing helpin god. This is my views. My faith is life. Religions are made by people. As long as people let me belive then i give the same courtesy. I dont look down on you for being chritian, but i disagree. I hope you do the same to me.

I am Agnostic, but I used to be one of those people who went to church every Sunday and Wednesday. Yes, I believe in God and yes I believe in what the bibles says, however I dropped the title of a religion due to the fact that every "Christian" I have met does not follow what they swear their life to. I have continually heard them criticize other religions and it seems more I have met are driven by things other then their faith.

Being a Christian is like being handicapped. You can't see the world or the people in it. Christianity asserts that there is only one God and the bible is his word, et cetera. No other religion does this.
Only Christians need everybody else to be wrong in order to validate their position.
The rest of us are satisfied with not knowing everything.
My religion doesn't have to be real or the one true answer; it only has to get me where I need to be.

My dear asker,
I am a buddhist. Concerning to your question, I have....
First, we practise what life is. We understand all the impermanence of life. Our life is made up of sufferings and feelings. There is nothing in our life. Our body, if you cleary see, is all phenomena of sufferings and feelings. There is no self. No me. No you. It is a body. It is made up of all the physical matters, and mental body. It will do what it likes. It will ask what it needs. Then we think of it ourselves in it. But there is no us inside. After all, it will go away from this life. Then it will appear again in next life as human being or in other forms. When the body changes, your mental spirit is still the same. But you will see the present body is not yours if you look at mindfully. As example, you just see the in and out of your breath. Can you control it? Every second, it changes by itself. Neither the in nor the out is permanent. All the processes in the body, in the mind, in the world, in the universe are the cause and effect. They all are impermanence.
Second, We try to understand ourselves first. Since it can help to understand others. if we don't understand ourselves, we will never understand the others. Therefore the most important is to be yourself. But it does not mean selfish. It is really diferent. You just start with yourself. Then you will be of great help to the people related with you. As an example, you just think, you are always angry at your wife. But she is really nice. So you want to control yourself not to be angry with her again. You think of it tonight. But tomorrow, you are not able to control yourself. You will be angry with her again. Therefore the most important thing is to be okay with ourselves. If you are okay with youself, i.e. if you understand your feeling, mind and all with great care, you will never be angry with the others even though they are good or bad to you. So you are in peace of your mind. You will have the real inside peace. And then you will automatically start to distribute it. You will be okay with your wife. Then with your family. etc.
Third, we always apply the middle way, and do-it-yourself method. Don't be so extreme. It's better be in the middle way neither in the lowest nor highest extreme way. The result is we be content enough to satisfy with what we have. There will be no stress and strain from life if we apply it. On the other hand, you are eager enough to improve your life since you apply middle way.
Fourth, We apply the principle "Stay at this moment".
But you know it is neither belief nor religion. It is really just a practice. So Buddihsm is a practise. Do it yourself. Then if you find it is real, just practise more.

I am a Witch and I believe magick is real. My spells work 90% of the time (I've had one failure, and it was because the opposite current was too strong).
I believe the circle of life is real. I believe duality for fertility is real.

Christian...
I used to be an atheist. Over a period of time however, I grew convinced of the existence of the Christian God, and ultimately committed my life to Christ (e.g., see http://www.godsci.org/gs/chri/testimony/seek.html ).
Cordially,
John

Christianity. It saved my life. I can't do it alone. Christ has stuck with me, and for that reason I feel peace.
