Yes, this is a very weird and very random question. My 3 year old cat apparently doesn't like to clean her butt... (this is kinda gross) so she tends to get crusty poop down there every now and then. Do I need to clean it for her? I have moist wipes for humans that my family uses... would that be safe for her?

My cat recently went to the vet, actually, for a checkup -- and the vet said nothing about it. It's not a HORRIBLE MESS or anything... and it's not in her fur, etc. It's just right there at the end. My other cat is pretty much OCD and he cleans himself good -- but this one doesn't.

It wouldn't hurt the cat, to use the wipes, in fact there are wipes manufactured, just for that purpose. For some cats, it is difficult for them them to 'reach' that area, and some cats, are basically just not that particular, about that area, if this is an indoor cat, which it sounds like it is, I would continue to use the wipes.

Have you taken her to the vet? I had a long haired cat who came u missing for 3 days. When I found him, he was very ill. I took him to emergency vet and his stools had gotten caught in his fur and flies laid their eggs on it. The maggots had gotten inside him. But, the reason this happened is because at 13 (and a HUGE cat), he may have been in the stages of kidney failure. Broke my heart. Take your cat to the vet, and if he is okay, wipe his butt for him. Use the moist wipes or whatever your vet says to use. He is worth it.

I had the EXACT same problem!
Yes it is fine to use them.
But it might be alittle better if you go to Wal-Mart and see if they have anything.
Just incase!
