I have cancer and I was diagnosed when I was 16, they denied that it was even cancer until my mother insisted we got a Full panle biospy. It was malignent Cancer of theovaries and Uterus. Well I have had a full hysterectomy and now I am on Chemo for the second time. I am 23 now but it doesn't look so good. They won't tell me, but I don't think the chemo is going to get rid of all of it. But I have heard of people getting healed and miracles have happend. So my question is two things
A. Should I continue treatment and hope it works
or
B.what would you do?

my teacher had colon cancer and it's been in remission for five years, I think.

It depends on you. What would your cancer be like without Chemo? Is it worth it? At only 23 years old, I would continue.

Yes, cancer goes into remission.
I think you should sit down with your oncologist and ask him everything you have written on a piece of paper before you see him.
I would pursue treatment and see how the cancer responds to treatment before I decided to stop chemotherapy.
You have every right to know what is going on with your body. Ask the doctor and tell him you want answers for your questions. If he doesn't answer satisfactorily, get a second opinoin.
Keep in mind Oncologist always tell you cancers are "treatable". The word treatable does not mean cured. You can treat a lot of things, but not cure them. Ask him questions like what are the chances of recovery. What are the chances of complete resolution of the tumor with and without the chemo.
I believe in miracles. I pray and know that the Lord hears my prayer. I will pray for you. Sounds like you have a lot of responsiblity at a young age.
FYI: I am a chemo nurse

There are plenty of people out there who have "cured" their own cancer. I heard one story about a boy who had cancer and imagined being in Star Wars and attacking it in his X-Wing and it completely went away without medical treatment. There are also all kinds of people whose cancer has gone into complete remission with treatment. Have you ever seen those parades of breast cancer survivors?

The biggest thing to surviving cancer (after treatment) is psychology. If you have ever worked with people in the hospital, you will see it is the ones who have an optimistic outlook and who believe in their own ability to heal that are doing well and the ones who are moping around who don't make it. Your body is capable of fighting off cancer. There's no science to that. It's just the simple fact that your body wants to survive. You have to help it along with your thought processes and managing your health.

I believe it is important to work with a doctor when managing something like cancer. The individual treatment depends on the situation. I don't even want to try to give you advice on that, but I would say that I would try anything that I thought might work. But also do your own mental treatment. Be sure to "cleanse" your mind of the cancer. Remember why you are here and what you have left to accomplish. Keep up a positive attitude. Even go so far as to meditate on attacking that cancer and clearing it from your body if you think that will help. But be optimistic. If you feel you have the power to heal, you will heal. If you feel healthy, health will follow you.

Just keep trying, keep hacking away at it, keep positive. You can work through this.

Many blessings.

My husband was diagnosed with non-hodgekins lymphoma two years ago at the age of 30. He had a total of 7 tumors. He went thru 2 chemo cycles as well as radiation. I am proud to say that he is in remission now. He is under close watch but we are keeping our fingers crossed. I have seen first hand what going through treatment is like. I really wish you the best. It is very possible to go into remission girl! Keep believing!

sure, people can go into remission after proper treatment of cancer. i have worked with many patients who have been diagnosed, treated aggressively, and then been declared cancer-free, and have been living happy lives.

however, not too be too positive, but ovarian cancer typically is one of the most deadly cancers, because it is oftentimes detected so late - its not like prostate cancer, lung cancer, or leukemia when you start having early signs and symptoms that something is wrong...you know, something that makes you go to the dr. because you just dont feel good. ovarian cancer is oftentimes spread to other organs before it is detect.ed it is awfully hard to treat, and the survival rate is slim. however, you should really have a sit down heart to heart with your doctor and confront him with the issue and ask him point blank - is this working? and demand a straight answer. you may be one of the lucky ones who survives - you have youth on your side, and that is such a blessing and such a positive for you. it also sounds like you have a good attitude about this, so keep thinking positive thoughts - that is half the battle. best of luck to you!

Cancer is usually a result of a fluke in certain organs. You can do all the chemotherapy n shet that you want, but that usually won't get rid of the fluke. The radiation COULD kill the fluke...but not the eggs....adn when the eggs re-hatch and your diet is something they like to feed off, it's back. I agree with someone else's post and you should probalby talk to a natural doctor. But talk to more than one...get second or third opinions.

first of all i belive u can wish u had something so bad that ur body can make what ever u want it to. if u want cancer ur body can make it. sounds like ur mom might have a streek of hypocondreact. and it rubbed off on u. if u trust in God u might get healed or ur body might just make it go away. i knew a gurl that was in a wheel chair that really could walk but her mom didnt want her to be healed cuz she would have lost the disabilty check. so now the woman is stuck in a wheelchair for life. not trying to be mean if u keep bad fath and worry about it it will only be worse. keep good faith and dont look for problems good luck

you are the only one who can and should decide whats best for you. First I say don't give up hope, yes people are cured of cancer every day and do remain cancer free. The type, stage, grade of cancer you have, and if there is any metastasis, makes all the difference in the world. take care and god bless.

get your body completely alkaline. If you don't know what that means then talk to a natural doctor. This is a cure for cancer. I'm not kidding. All natural doctors know about this and can help you.
good luck.

Get a second opinion. People are probably shocked that you had a hysterectomy at such an early age, is why they aren't saying anything.
