Should you get shipping insurance or is it just a waste of money?

I don't get it. They say it is a waste of money.

It's mostly a waste of money, as "breakage" is not covered. Anything done because of poor wrapping/not taking care with the item is not covered. If the package is opened outside of the US, and the item is stolen, it's not covered. The only time something is covered, is if it doesn't show up - the whole package has to disappear, and you need to allow at least 30 days for it to get to you.

Always get shipping insurance. It's very important.
