If a person is now a legal citizen, I don't care about his or her previous status.

When it comes to love there is no borders. It’s doesn’t matter that there illegal is that they care about you.
Most of them have had a hard life and appreciate when love is given to them. Like in every ethnic group there is there good and there bad we should not judge them all the same. Us Americans come from immigrants and now some of us feel superior why we all human and are destiny is all the same is to die and turn in to dust. I am Mexican American who is married to illegal immigrant. I don't care what people think all know is that I love him and he going to stay with me.

that don't work anymore. you don't marry and get citizenship. that was the old days.
now they just want money money money..
Clinton passed a law. if they were married to a us citizen by a certain date and paid the fines and fees.and been here for a certain amount of time you could become a resident. the cost was about 4000.00 with attorney fees. immigration will find out if you have really been with the one you marry. they came to my home a few times. and they want to know everything.you have a lot of interviews. every case is different. like if you get a felony you get deported. no matter what it is. But now i wish they would deport him... that Bastard..

My husband came her illegal 18 years ago. I have been married to him for 11 yrs now. Hard *** worker, great dad, wonderful husband. Has a great paying job. And you know what when he was illegal he paid tax's but did not get anything back. so what does that mean the Gov got there money from them. So he did not take a free ride as some of you call it.

As long as you realize that just by marrying him, he did NOT become a legal US citizen. He still has to go through immigration procedures. A lot of people still believe that citizenship can be obtained just by marriage, but that is a fallacy. Not true.

Getting married to a US citizen doesn't make your spouse a US citizen also. You have to apply for resident alien status.

*looks* I'm married to someone who was illegal, then became legal. Quite honestly, I believe that if love is involved, it's all good.

Another thing....Whites were once illegals in this country. Does race make it any different in all reality?
