What was your mother's standard advice?

LIfe is not fair, that is why bras come in different sizes. That is my wife's answer. My mother's advice was "Go to your room and wait until your father gets home. You are in big trouble!"

well this is not an advice but a sentence she repeats 50 times a day and drives me insane "go yo your room and study"..
also she likes to lecture about proverbs and i think the one she tells me the most is
"an idle mind is a the devils workshop"
