I heard from someone that Israeli Jews as a majority aren't as strict religiously- I realize that this is kind of a dumb question to ask since obviously there are a good amount of Jews in Israel anyway and plenty of synagogues as well, but would the average Jewish Israeli go to synagogue for shabbat and the like, or is what I've heard somewhat inaccurate?

Vast majority is secular. Some are extremely secular, and oppose religion entirely.
About 15 % are orthodox Jews; the fact that state and church are not separated (orthodox have political parties in government), makes life seem more religious than would represent the people - for example, the gov. will regulate no public transportation in Israel on the Shabat - which is against what the majority of people would like to have.

No. At least half the Jewish population is non-religious. And a certain number are "traditional"--they observe some of Jewish religious law without actually be religious. Many traditional Jews *do* go to the synagogue for Shabbat (and even some non-religious Jews do occasionally--such as for a friend's Bar Mitzvah).

Most Israelis are secular. They are a little religous but not very much. Some are very religious.

In Israel, Shabbat is Saturday. From sunset Friday to sunset on Saturday, MOST places are closed. Many Jews get together with their families, have dinner together and say prayers. Some go to synagogue. I'd say most are not religious but this Shabbat dinner and prayers are a weekly ritual. Many also light candles.

There are all extremes of the Jewish religion in Israel. Sadly though, a great majority of them are not religios. Many of them do observe the high holy days and passover (some seculare even shabbos) but most not. On the other hand some cities in Israel have some of the greatest Torah cities in the world like Jerusalem, Bnei Brak, Bat Yam...Although they are only a small percentage.

It breaks down about 20% fully observant Jews,
another 20% totally non-observant or even hostile to Judaism,
and the majority in the middle who are somewhat observant and have a respect for religion and tradition.

i think that most of the Jews in Israel are secular- they dont observe Shabbos, etc. However, there are many traditional Jews- meaning, that even though they aren't so religious, they keep certain things and certain customs. like the Pesach Seder, or the Neila prayer on Yom Kippur...
but there are still tons and tons of religiously observant Jews in Israel!!!! just remember, that all the Jews in Israel observe- just on different levels...

It hardly matters whether they are religious or not but at least they are very much honest to their nation.
