for instance tommorrow i will be calling out because i have a fever and my head is so stopped up...i think i have a sinus infection and its really hard to go to work when your sick...plus i work around food....

Yes, I feel guilty about it (not logical, but I do). However, if you have a fever, then you may have something contagious, and I think you'd be doing everyone (Your boss, coworkers, customers) a favor by staying home....

it's normal to feel that way. If you dont call out all of the time and so on, then it should'n't be a problem I think that since you work with food, your both would prefer that you stay home

If you're sick, you're sick. Have your doctor, if you happen to go, write up something to take to your boss. They can't do anything about it as it would be an excused absence.
