He was a Sgt who died 4 Feb. 1968. He was from Monroe, MI.
He was killed in Hostile Action in South Viet Nam.
For more information, as a family member you can order his
military records from National Archives.
Archives.gov.

Hope it helps.

did you try the site "Fallen Heroes of Monroe Michigan? " i keep getting booted off the net, bad connection , but i have done my own research on family from Korean, and Vietnam War and also for friends...i always start with the place of birth, usually their will be some kind of memorial record at your public records office or even library...but now u got the net..so much quicker start local, then try Killed in Action, date of death if u have , and name. as you go hopefully you will find bits and pieces what company he was with, friends of his that may still be alive, i have actually contacted my uncles best friend to meet with him in New Orleans from NYC, he was so helpful and put my heart at peace, good luck with your search, and just try to understand the heartbreak is just to much for your family to bear, it's not like they are trying to keep u from your roots, maybe in time, but they may never recover, u have the power to find something but it may take time...best of luck
