My question is whether it is the person which sins or something within the person. And if the latter, can I really blame others for their actions?

I would prefer this from either a religious or a scientific perspective, but any perspective would really work I guess.

Thanks

we ourselves

James1:13 When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone. 14 But each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire. 15 Then the desire, when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin; in turn, sin, when it has been accomplished, brings forth death.

The bible starts us out as born into sin. I fuss about this, because little babies and children no more sin than Eve did when she supposedly ate the forbidden fruit when the wise old serpent told her to......No Match.There. The wise old serpent should have been dealt with and Adam & Eve spoken to by God.Now don't get me wrong, This is so much bunk, it's not even real... Again.... Just a story that's long overdone.. Genisis leaves a lot to figure out.. Why, Why, Why.. We are the pawn's in this game...

Sin is missing the mark in Hebrew or fallen short of the standards set by God.

We are not meant to follow the standards set by God. If you notice in Genesis, we were told NOT to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Before Adam and Eve part-take of that tree, do you notice that there is no sin? Because God has not set any requirements other than do not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Today, we sin because we know roughly what is good and what is evil. We know roughly the standards of God and we know that we are not meeting that standard. Or we have fallen so much short of that standard.

And when we know we cannot meet that standard, internally within us, we condemn ourselves and don't feel 'right' before God. We don't enjoy His company because we unwittingly think that we are very 'inferior' to Him. This is not true. If you have a child, even when they are very little and cannot do as much things as you would, you just love them as they are. They can be naughty but they are still your child and your love for them doesn't change. However, when men knew about 'sin' they distance themselves from God. In Genesis, God never say men to depart from Him. He called for Adam and His first question, is who told you, you are naked? Notice before that, men as in Adam and Eve didn't realize they are naked before?

So today if you know what sin is, you can only blame Adam. hahaha. But today also if you know what the second Adam has done, you will also be thankful that now, even if there is sin, Christ has paid it all for you on the cross so that before God, there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ.

God Bless.

We are the ones that sin. God gave us free will, and we have the choice, every day, to choose to do good, or to do evil.

I did like your observation about whether or not you can blame people for their actions or not. I think you touched on judgement.

We don't know everyone's life or circumstances, therefore we cannot judge them, and by that I mean condemn. Only God knows the heart, and only God can condemn or bless.

I do have the ability to judge whether an action or idea is right or wrong, but I cannot judge the person, like saying they are going to heaven or hell. Only God can judge that.

People sin because God gave us free will, but it is also something inherent to the human race, because the moment you are born, you are a sinner because lust (a sin) was involved in your conception. Of course people can blame others for their actions sometimes; people can be manipulated or forced to do things, but a lot of the time blame is laid where it shouldn't be.

Sin is in our nature. In other words it is our free will, free choice!
Sin is the darkness of who we are! and only Christ Jesus can
remove it. You want an easy out that's not the way things work. You must work for what you have spiritually and physically.
God is not something to explain away! and sin is what we are born with!

It is the person himself who sins. Every man is led by his own sinful desires. We cannot blame others but must take responsibility for our actions. Only through Christ can we be free from our sin.

Since God gave us the power to rule ourselves, with knowledge. I would have to say that the decisions we make, knowing right from wrong, would be our decisions. Therefore, we do the sinning. God only wants us to choose not to sin, but he knows we will, and he will forgive the sin if we ask him to.

--I hate sine, yet I still sin sometimes when I give into tempation.
--Paul talks about this in Romans 7:14 - 20. Keep in mind that he hated sin, but he still sinned sometimes. He says, "14We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. 15I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it."
--This does not mean people aren't responsible for their sin. I guess you could also ask, "do we ourselves eat food, or is it something within us which eats food?" Sinning is a choice. A decision. We have free will. Just like you have choice when you are hungry whether to eat food or not, you have a choice of whether to sin or not when things inside you make you want to.
--Paul said in I Cor 10:13, "he (God) will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it."
--In conclusion, we are responsible for our sin, since God does not let us be tempted beyond what we can bear and since we can say no. However, in a way, if you hate sin but still give into the temptation anyway sometimes, God does not consider it you that is sinning but the sin that is within you doing it.

it is our fault when we sin. yes u can blame others...but u must forgive them...seeing as how ther not perfect...and when ur not perfect...they must also forgive u.

im a Christian... it is ourselves...i mean well who else makes the choice!!! Satan decieved adam and eve...and now sin is within all of us. but sin duznt make us sin. we can either choose to follow the sin within us...or to go away from it. this is not a perspective...its the Truth. notice i capitilized the T. we make the choices...while God tries to stop us... we r the one who put sin within us...thats our fault isnt it??? well humanity's fault...and it wuz a sin to sin ....but we put it there...so its our fault.
