Can someone please tell me how the current size and boundaries of Israel today compares to the land that God gave to the Israelites. If they are not occupying all of the original territory why aren't they?

To clarify the time, I am speaking of after Moses led them for 40 years...when God told them to go to the top of the mountain and all the land they observed was theirs (sorry I don't have my Bible handy). I guess what I'm asking is...were Israel to retake all this land, what present day nations would it include. Are there any today that believe Israel should retake all this land as their God given birthright? I realize the conflict involved with doing this and yet..if God intended it.....

The answer depends upon which "Biblical Time" you are talking about.

The smallest boundaries were given as being from Dan to Beersheba, and from the Mediterranean to the Jordan River.
However, at its largest, it did go as far north as the Euphrates River. as far south as the current Suez Canal, and as far east as twice the distance from the Mediterranean to the Jordan River.

During most of the time, the current Gaza Strip was not occupied by Israel. Likewise, most of current Lebanon, that would be within those boundaries, was not part of Israel.

Very tiny by comparison. Read Gen 15:18, the land extends from the Nile to the Euphrates. Also read Deut 11:24, and Joshua 1:4.

The kingdom of God is not food and drink. Do you realized that despite their history and how they move from one land to another and now being dispersed in the world, the Jews (God's chosen people) are still so blessed? Being a tiny nation, if you observe their impact to this world in world history, you would be amazed and see that they really have a covenant keeping God.

No one can exactly say what the boundaries were back then. There is too many open-ended answers to questions that "man" will (most likely) never be able to answer.

human beings have been given married youthful back then via fact their life expectancy became into decrease. you have intercourse once you sense waiting, married or no longer. this would sound like i'm encouraging you to circulate against God, yet God made us all distinctive and loves us all and back then marriage became right into a life long factor yet in present day circumstances various human beings get divorced so I see it as being greater of the dedication then certainly being married. in case you adore somebody and intend to be with them continuously then having intercourse in the previous marriage should not be frowned upon as that's a image of dedication and courting. even nonetheless, in case you elect to have intercourse yet no longer in a courting, or a minimum of one you think of will final your life, then it is as much as you. I, myself, do no longer see something incorrect with it as that's exploring life and intercourse is basically an progression on kissing so could kissing in the previous marriage be unacceptable? you may desire to return to a determination despite if your God will 'forgive' you or 'settle for' you. God forgives sins yet could understand your judgements. He save us unfastened will for a reason, and likewise organic of suggestions is greater significant than organic of physique. I was hoping this helped, i'm no longer of one faith yet have my very very own ideals and that i've got tried to appreciate your point of view as much as available.
