Edgar Degas. His work is brilliant. He is one of the first painters to not center the subject. His use of color and the evidence of brush strokes is exciting and wonderous.

I surely have countless widespread artworks one is Olympia by Edouard Manet. It became a very scandalous piece on the time. this is impact is the jap Woodblock prints. also i respect Saint Teresa in Ecstasy by Bernini He became a very masterful Renaissance/ Baroque sculptor. also in case you want some one cutting-edge to analyze i respect Marilyn Minter and Cai Guo Quin.

There is a Russian born French artist named Marc Chagall... If you don't know who he is look him up! He created whimsical, dreamy paintings of floating figures in brilliant colors. The pictures remind me of fairy tales and fantasies that are so imaginative and vivid. Look at some of them at the website.
