What do you think are the pros and cons of being rich?

Pros:
1. You can afford to meet all of your basic survival needs -- and then some.

2. You can afford to send your kids to the colleges they want to attend (it's still up to them to get accepted, of course.)

3. You don't have to worry that when you die, you'll leave your children saddled with your final debts.

4. If you care about a cause/candidate/etc., you can put your money where your mouth (or heart) is.

Cons:

1. Fair weather friends, family, etc. who suffer under the delusion that they're entitled to handouts from you.

2. A lot more paperwork.

3. Keeping it invested wisely becomes a full time job that requires a knowledge base and skill set all its own... UNLESS you hire someone to manage your money for you, in which case you risk waking up to find out that trusted person has eloped with all of your money to the sunny shores of a land that knows no extradition.

pros- obviously, you don't have to worry about money any more. No more debt, no more worrying about being able to afford things, you can pretty much have everything you ever wanted.
cons-- I think that the more money you make, the more you spend, and the more you think about making more. People might be after you for donations, or loans, or gifts. Also it's easy to spend your way into debt, especially if you come into money suddenly and weren't conditioned to having it. Also with riches comes fame or notoriety, and also paranoia. Rich people have complicated and expensive security systems so that people cannot break in and rob them.
I personally think that they will have a harder time getting into heaven. Especially if all their lives they thought only about getting more and more more money. Greed is one of the deadly sins. There's something in the Bible that goes like "Better to build up riches in Heaven than on earth", or something to that effect.
I guess to me the cons outweighed the pros, huh?

Pros
Financial freedom. (which is really the only thing. Everything else I just thought of would stem from financial freedom.)

Cons
You worry day and night about the chance that some weirdo will kidnap your family members, and hold them for ransom.

You never have a moments peace with everyone coming to you to ask for money.

You feel responsible for everyone you know. Example- If someone in your family gets in any kind of trouble, (financial or otherwise) you feel like you have to help whether you want to or not because you are rich, plus everyone expects it. If you don't help, people will be angry with you, even if you have a very good reason why you didn't help. And no one will care what that reason is.

There are tons of things, but that's all I can think of now.

Pro: Rich, you can buy all the things you want, you don't have the stress of how the bills are gonna get paid or what you have to do without so the bills can get paid.

Con: Is, the love of money is the root of all evil.... Don't misunderstand that.... money isn't evil, it's the love of it. Most couples and families you hear about that win the lotto, it's not long before there is divorce and family problems. Money isn't everything.

The definite pro would be having enough money to do and buy whatever you wanted. The biggest con would be not knowing if people really wanted to be with you or just wanted your money.

If you are rich you can buy anything you want , people want to get to know you, never know how it feels to be without

On the other hand if you aren't you learn to appreciate what you do have and look at things with a whole diffrent attitude....
