No..Barbaro wasn't cursed. I do think that he and Brother Derek did bump hooves together, and while this itself did not cause the injury..it caused Barbaro to misstep, and this is the cause for the breakdown. It was definitely an unfortunate accident, because we will never get to see how great Barbaro could have been. I truly believe that he would have taken the Crown, and with ease! He is and continues to show us just what a champion he is!

No barbaro wasnt cursed....Ive said this time after time....3 yr old are barely developed and sometimes things happen..BARBARO was one of those 3 yr olds that just had BAD racing luck.....When they ran the triple crown race...If u watch the race VERY closely...During the first load up when he broke though the gate..His back hoof caught a part of the gate....Yes they gave him a quick check...But they may have missed something,,b/c after the field broke out the second time...barbaro...Started out ok..BUT...Adding to the first break out...He took a bad step..and thats when the injury occurded...SO its just part of bad racing luck ..And the way it looks with the infection...BARBARO may not maje it much longer...

Horses aren't cursed...humans are! Barbaro will go down in history as the horse who shed some light on the dark subject of the "horse racing industry". Horses are vessels that can carry messages from unseen places.

barbaro was not cursed he is three years old and horses are not suppose to be ridden untill they hit three he has benn running races since he was 2. he is not fully developed. he now has an infection in both feet and has a very little chance of living never mind racing
