I, as an Atheist, really hope that is a joke. When I post a question or answer, I am not attacking Faith, I am attacking fundamentalism and intolerace. Change your view of the world, not your view of God.

Okay, I'm not an atheist, but I'd love to comment. It's unclear to me as to what is troubling you. I recommend that you read the Book of John as your introduction to the Bible. Then read the other of the first 4 books of the New Testament. That will give you a foundation for studying the rest.
I don't think that atheists consider "it" to be a big conspiracy. They typically consider people who believe religious teaching to be misguided. They consider truth to be found within themselves and their own understanding of their world, so it strikes them as a bit unusual that people would rally around something that cannot be seen. They do not consider it reasonable to live by "faith."
However, I have found my own faith strengthened by reason. The author of Hebrews writes, "By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen has been made from things that are not visible." This is an explanation of faith, but reason prompts me to look at the symmetry, color, branching, flow, movement, etc. and seek an explanation therefor. I realize that my existence is comprised of 4 basic components: time, space, matter and energy. I conclude that these 4 components cannot interact in any meaningful way without the influence of substantial intelligence and power. And then I read Genesis 1:1--the introduction of God's expression to man, and I am in awe of the beautiful simplicity of his greeting: "In the beginning (time) God (powerful intelligence) created (energy) the heavens (space) and the earth (matter)." In one brief sentence is encapsulated the explanation of the synthesis of everything. To me, everything else then begins to make perfect sense.
Thus, to me, to become an atheist--I mean a really good one--you have to come up with a better explanation for everything than Genesis 1:1.

You don't have to become an atheist just because you think the Bible is a big conspiracy. Read other religious texts. You should try to understand the meaning of God. To each person it is different. If you are thoroughly convinced that God doesn't exist, then you are an atheist.
My idea of God is that it is a spirit within ourselves but has no magical powers nor miraculous power nor all that hoobli gooblis.

Open your Heart?
Is it full of questions?
Did you read or just skim over?
Did you expect God to speak?
Be sure, be VERY sure that what ever you do is right, because if it isnt. You have a problem. Think about where you came from, and your mom and dad, and their moms and dads and so on and so forth till you get back to Adam and Eve and then tell God you dont believe
