Depends. Are they summer or winter issue? That is the biggest factor. I've found that the summer BDU's don't last long at all. They fade quickly and you'll start to notice them getting holes and such more rapidly than the winters. Given modest manual labor type MOS, I'd expect them to last 1-1.5 yrs (although they will be faded!).

The winters are bit more hardy. I'd expect those to last for 2 yrs or so. Again, it depends on how often you wash them and what your MOS is. If you have a desk job, your biggest enemy is fading since most likely you'll be expected to wear fresh, crisp uniforms.

it depends on the type (summer or winter) summer bdus only lasted me about 6 months, and winter bdus would last 1 - 1 and a half years.

I've been in the army since 2000, and I still have 2 good sets. (our of four) i had to buy new ones. It depends. It's easier to blow a crotch out than anything else I think. But generally they last. and tey patch up easy!

They fade before the wear out. I've had a few sets from three and a half years ago.
