There are some Personality Disorders which would present erroneous beliefs. Bi-Polar Disorder, in a psychotic stage, can also produce erroneous beliefs.
These diagnoses are different for each other, but you can have one accompanied by another. Only a good, diagnostic psychiatrist can diagnose Bi-Polar Disorder. Psychological testing could screen for Personality (character) Disorders. Good Luck !

Bipolar disorder is a diagnosis relating to the client's mood.
There are various personality disorders and they relate to patterns of behavior.
I would guess that everyone with or without these disorders holds erroneous beliefs. For example, not every religious belief can be true nor can every belief about homosexuality be true. O.J. can't be both guilty and innocent.

Maybe I am nuts myself but I think all people have what is perceived as "erroneous" beliefs. Perhaps you have heard the saying "beauty is in the eye of the beholder"? Well, erroneous beliefs are in the eye of the judger.
Non-north american cultures and aboriginal cultures often have a very different view of what we call mental illness. Often, mental illness to us is judged to be a special gift in other cultures.

Bipolar is a mood disorder that is characterized by depressed states lasting two weeks or more, followed by a manic state. A person in a manic phase may exhibit expansive emotions, require very little sleep, and have very extroverted behavior. There are many different kinds of personality disorders, and since you didn't specify, I can't answer that.
