I know there are women preachers. But if we are using it as a study question I need some Biblical evidence.

As for examples of Leadership

Yes there were women judges before the People of Israel had their first King.

Leadership is also found on the story of Esther, even though she did not commanded people in battle or at the Church, her actions saved a nation.

In the New Testament you can find several instances in which women were clearly in charge, consider leaders. The gospels relate several women by name that supported Jesus (I know their names in Spanish since that is my main language does not want to mislead you trying to translate). Apostle Paul wrote about several women who were leaders in the Churches he wrote to trough out the Roman Empire, check his salutations and farewells on each letter.

Woman leadership is there, you only have to look it up.

actual they ought to. I attend a church that has female deacons, elders and one in each and every of our co-pastors is female. in case you study Paul's epistles (ignore about Titus and both Timothy's, they were written contained in the 4th century and are not authentic Pauline epistles - bible scholars agree in this), you'll be conscious that he salutes and honors many females for his or her roles as church leaders, as a lot as and which incorporates bishops. The early Church became very egalitarian for the first 3 centuries before the patriarchal/misogynist streak surfaced. females held significant positions in the time of those early days. there became an editorial in very last week's Time (the only with the object on the existence of Hell) that became a mode on both favourite individual everyday that commanded the no-fly zone over Libya. She's female. If a lady can attempt this, and do it properly, she will positive as hell run a congregation. advantages on your journey!

Deborah and Jael were prominent. No man stepped up to the plate and Deborah delivered.

Remember, the man is built to be a spiritual covering. Look in Scripture, you will see women need to be "under cover." Even the widows were protected by the church.

Well, in my church it is the women who run the place up front and behind the scenes. It depends on the denomination I would imagine.

A friend of mine's mother is an ordained minister in the Syracuse area.

It's not that uncommon among liberated Protestant religions!
