I play in the worship team at my church, and I love it! What are some of your favorite worship tunes? What kind of instruments do you like to hear?

Wow, Bimpster! Simple question, dude! I love it because I get to take part in leading the congregation before God's throne in worship! And honestly, if you heard how we sound sometimes... you would know that I don't love it for the sound. I love it, because it is just me and the Lord when I am up there (and frankly, by up there, I mean in front of. We don't even have a stage! LOL!!!)!

I love to hear the bass guitar and the drums, "How Great is our God" by Chris Tomlin and "Draw me Close to You" (don't know who wrote it but I believe that The Katinas recorded it). Those are my favs.

One church I was a member of before I moved seemed to have "favorites." I could always tell who was the worship leader that Sunday.
Another church the worship leader sometimes writes his own songs and I LOVED IT! Were they God-inspired!
Some churches go thru the motions, some seek after God with passion.
Some music you can feel the Spirit passion. That is what I enjoy listening to.

It's my opinion that most of today's worship music is worshipping someone other the God. More like "look what I can do...Look what I can do!"
Bless me Lord... When we should be saying Bless you LORD...
God bless America... should be America Bless GOD...
Xians in America are apostate and need to be persecuted unto death.
150,000 followers of Messiah die each year just because they are followers of Messiah. 150,000 martyrs every year. Whoa. Did you know that?
You say you love it? What do you love? God or the music that comes out of the audio system? The sound? Do you love being ushered into the presence of The Almighty Heavenly Father who dwells in the praise of His people? Or the sound of the guitar riff?
Sorry to be so hard on you but the improper worship of God is not worship. It is like strange fire before God.

I used to be worship leader of my former church before we moved due to my hubby's job requirements.
On a technical basis music tends to be composed of base, rhythm and melody.
The voice does tend to predominate church music and i find that keyboards and/or guitars can help with the base/rhythm aspect of music rather well hence these two instruments can be among the most popular.
Although i find i do like some of the songs when given a Celtic lilt can add to their charm.
one of my faves is - my Jesus my Savior lord there is none like you - by Marlene dzeche?sp!
I also like songs based on psalm 23 also (with more emerging all the time)
i also like that newish song 'my redeemer lives' based on job's realization i believe?

I love worship music!!! One of my favorite worship songs is "Secret Place". I don't know who the artist is, though. I like to hear all kinds of guitars, and the piano.

Well. It's nice. It brings life to a place so serious which should be but it shows that god speaks to us through music. Just as long as there is no music on Good Friday. Which by the way shouldn't be called "Good Friday" but "Holy Friday" cause there is nothing good about it, our messiah and lord died for us.

I like to sing and hear the Hymns and well as the Praise and Worship band.
I would like to see full orchestra playing for my church.
But most of all, I just want to get closer to God and worship Him.

I don't think we should have instruments in the church. God never tells us we are allowed to have musical intruments, and a cappella (music w/o instruments) is the best kind of music.
