Is Jesus talking about the Jews?
Let us look at the verses in context and see just WHO Jesus (or John) is refering to: Revelation Chapter 2
9 I know your afflictions and your poverty—yet you are rich! I know the slander of those **who say they are Jews and are not**, but are a synagogue of Satan. 10Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life.
Truth always prevails. What do you think---is he talking about the Jews----or others pretending to be Jews......

First of all the book of Revelations is a prophetic book and must be dealt with delicately. You see nothing in Revelation is what it is, but is figurative. You see the Jews (Hebrews were insisting things) that were under the old law be kept under the new. This would be things like circumcission, Sabbath Day Holy,
the Jewish Diet. So John was saying they were causing sin in the church hence the term the "Tabernacle of Satan". Furthermore the message here and further throughout the book is Things are going to be bad now but in the end all will be better for those that love the Lord.

do you know how many Christians claim to be the spiritual descendants of Jews?
Remember Jesus also said that he did not come to abolish the Law, that means he still belived it to be in place.
he never once spoke bad about his own people, yet he was sure hash on that Samaritan woman.
having said that I would image the last people he would be talking about was his own.
If he was talking in the present it would be the Samaritans
if he was talking about the future it would be Christians that claim to be Jews.

You, Dominionists, are the Synagogues of Satan, your selves. Renounce the church and embrace Jesus through Thomas of Aquinas, leave the machine of the Demon behind thee! Recognize the blue green Earth as your Mother whom you must stop raping! See your Father in the forests oceans and sky's, whom you murder and poison.
Your wreck-less idolatry in men who know not the hand , leave, the mind of God, will ensure your damnation. Touch the Earth, trust in the mirror of your soul, follow a path away from the Satans in Synagogues that chain you to the depths of hell.

That this sub-group of Symrnians is actually a group of Jews is a distinct possibility. I wish I knew. Are you leaning toward this interpretation yourself? Are you seeing modern Jews in this at all? Just curious.
