If you go without deodorant and use antibacterial soap like dial this will help. My doctor said these are blocked sweat ducts and sometimes bacteria is trapped and causes an infection. The antibacterial soap will also help with the dreaded body odor but not nearly as well as good old deodorant. I would suggest using the dial and once the bump is gone keep using dial and only use a very little bit of dove deodorant. Doing this actually helped me and since I've been doing this I haven't had another one.

are these knots under the skin or part of the top layer of skin?? if they are under the skin and are somewhat movable when you press on them, it is probably a swollen lymph node - which could have many causes, and isn't abnormal to have swelling in these nodes on occasion. However..you said they "run" which I take to mean there is some sort of drainage...is this drainage clear or cloudy/colored? does it have any unusual odor? I'm going to take a guess and say that it's possibly an infected/ingrown hair (is it near your underarm hair?) which can actually be made worse by antiperspirants/deodorants as they can clog the pores. Are the knots painful or tender? if it seems to just be superficial (on the skin) try using a gentle antiperspirant - if any - and apply antibiotic ointment a few times a day (such as neosporin). keep your underarm area dry and open to air...if it still doesn't clear up, speak to your Dr.

Sometimes it's easy to confuse underarm bumps for something else and sometimes it is something else. Could be calcium deposits, especially if they don't go away with moisturizing treatments and they move around. I would definately consult a doctor.

I get them too. They're cysts.... well at least that's what the doc told me. Nothing to worry about. They get sore but they go away. Nothing they can do. Hope this helps. I feel for ya!

For God's sake, go see a doctor as soon as you can (ie, tomorrow)! Or go to an emergency room to get looked at - this sounds like something they would look at.

Under the skin? maybe lymph nodes, means your body is fighting an infection.

It's called hidradenitis. Usually it needs surgery. See your doctor.
