Have you gained/lost any significant amount of weight recently? Men get them too. It is from the elasticity in your skin being stretched one way and then another so if you gain weight and then lose it for instance you tend to get stretch marks.

I've seen guys with stretch marks too. Rapid weight loss and/or gain can result in stretch marks. So can growth spurts. The body expands or shrinks faster than the skin can grow and this results in stretch marks.

girls dont only get stretch marks when they're pregnant, you can also get them when you're going through puberty. Stretch marks are when the skin gets stretched out and tears..it usually happens after a growth spurt..or when u gain a lot of weight.

I'm 22 and have stretch marks and no kids! I've been told it happens if your body is either gaining weight or losing it rapidly.
The fact that you are 15 and your body is changing would hold creditability to that I would think.

You can get stretch marks regardless of having kids. Its just your skin stretching, like if you had a sudden growth spurt then that can cause the marks. And guys can just as easily get them as well.

Anyone can get stretch marks - you don't have to be pregnant. It happens when the skin "stretches" usually when weight is gained.

i have a 15 year old, and she has stretch marks, and she is thin........its part of growing up. most girls your age go through growing spurts, and get stretch marks on their backs, legs, thighs, stomaches,....its a normal process, but tanning helps, along with plenty of fluids,....and of course, shopping for clothes that flatter your body. also lotion or cocoa butter after bathing helps prevent new ones...good luck sweetie, and dont worry,...most girls are just better at hiding them, and after time, they do fade.

I'm a guy and I have a lot of them and I'm not fat. I'm 19 and they are really embarrassing so I can't go swimming or anything. They start to fade after about a year and I can't wait.
