I am wondering if anyone out there has actually gotten a tourist visa from this Embassy to visit the US. How long did you have to wait before you got your answer from them? What was the interview like? Any tips would be appricated. Thanks!

I am an American citizen living in Tunisia. My husband obtained a visa from them a few years ago, but he had to jump through hoops to get it, even though we're married.
My father-in-law wanted to get a visa from them to come to the US to visit my parents and bring my son and I back to Tunisia (I'm currently in the US visiting my parent) but was denied for a reason that I still think is bogus.
From my personal experience, the people at the US Embassy in Tunisia are no help at all. They act put out when you go to see them, and they are rude.

In the past 6 months, US Embassy Tunis has issued more than a thousand tourist visas. The only tip you need is this: tell the truth

Hey, there is actually an American embassy in Tunis. If you go to the site that I have listed below you can click on "Visa's to The US." Which will give you general information on how to obtain a Visa.
There are no American Consulates in Tuisia, so you would have to go to the main Embassy. The website gives a lot of good information. Good luck on your travels!
