one option would be to try the reserves and train as a medic. once your training on active duty is complete(about 6 mos total), enroll in college in a nursing program. some of the courses you got in the service will get you some college credits toward that degree plus you'll be able to get school paid for by the military and paid for your weekend drills.

Air force medic would be good choice.

this option is good because you will be a certified EMT and can get a job while going to school.

Join some branch of the Military (Army, Marines, Navy, etc) Serve as an ordinary soldier for a couple of years and then apply for training to be a Medic. Or get your degree in whatever you want to do in medicine and then join after, educated soldiers get a higher rank to start but even though you wont be a private (the lowest rank in the army) people will still give you crap because you wont know anything about being in the military.

Talk to a recruiter. My brother is a corpsmen in the Navy. He has worked as an operating room tech, and a combat medic. I think the Navy does have the most complete program. I even think he had the opportunity to try for medical school, but I don't know why he didn't pursue that.

Army ROTC has a program for undergraduate Nursing students. They offer some pretty substantial scholarships and benefits, check it out:

Basically, you pursue a degree in Nursing - after completing the ROTC requirements and earning your degree, you commission into the Army Nurse Corps.

Alternatively, you can go to medical school and become a doctor - once you become a doctor, you can apply for a direct commission into the Medical Corps.

That's easy. Get your degree as a civilian, then enlist.
