While my man plays his ps2 he acts like he is in ps2 zone and cant hear anything else around him and if we are fighting he goes right to that and ignores me, I hate it but is that normal for most men 20-25yr.?

Well yes and no. As a PS2 player myself, I do tend to zone into my game and tone everything else out. It annoys people around me, but I cant help it.

However, if he purposefully goes for the PS2 when he does not want to talk, then that is not normal and is a problem. He is purposefully using the PS2 as an excuse not to talk and he is making a conscious effort to ignore you.

I would not put up with that behavior. If this is a serious relationship, things will never work if you two cannot communicate effectively. Tell him that your tired of it and if he cant have a conversation like a man, then he is not deserving of you. That ought to wake him up....if it does not, its his loss.

Yep. It is normal.

Guys need time for themselves.

Besides, if he is "in the zone", he is concentrating so hard on his game that he wouldn't know it if his clothes were on fire. Don't take it personally.

If you need to talk to him, give him a little while to blow off steam with his computer game first (Unless he is so obsessive about it that he is missing work or neglecting his friends -- like you).

I hope that he isn't doing it so much that you never have time to talk. He could be using the game as an excuse to avoid life, difficult peoblems, or you. That's unhealthy.

It's absolutely normal. My husband is 25 and he seems like he is in a different galaxy when he plays Counter-Strike on pc. Why do they ignore women? Firstly, we're a distraction and second of all, men can't multi-task! Their focus needs to be on one thing only. Don't be insulted if your man ignores you when he plays videogame.... how would you feel if your man was to talk to you while you watch your favorite soap opera or tv show? Let him play, then you can talk to him after... the more you try to talk to him while he plays, believe me, he'll be grumpy. We each need our own time and guys spend their time that way. That's how it is. What I do too now is that I joined my husband in his games and we play together. If you can't beat them, join them.

LOL hell yea thats normal for young dudes!!!! Don't worry though, video games are just a hobby for us and nothing more. Like girls and diamonds, or shoes. Try playing with him on the PS2. You might think its fun.

You sound like my girlfriend. It's a good way to take out aggression or restrain comments that might make things worse, it keeps your mind busy. Its a getaway from all of it. I think its pretty normal. Everyone has something like that, his is just the PlayStation.

YES! that is soooo normal! my ex husband did that all the time when we had Everquest and i hated it! but then i learned to join him. my current boyfriend and i have an agreement: at night since i go to bed before he does he has to devote 30 to 45 minutes to snuggling me in bed with lights off and talks to me about his day. sometimes it turns into more then an hour lol. but then he tucks me in and goes back downstairs and plays his games.

It is normal for some guys of that age. If it bugs you, talk to him. Either you can communicate, or you can let it boil inside and drive you insane. You can come up with some great compromises that will work for you both if you just try. :) Good luck.

Yes, I am 26 and play mine a great deal, It is kind of like escaping reality for a while. Especially if he had a bad day, believe me it helps. Intead of arguing with him let him be and when he is done, he will be open for discussion with you.

no he is acting like a child. No one should tolorate being ignored. Maybe if you ignore him and find someone else to hang out with he will get the message.
