My x- husband has our 4-year-old daughter and our five-year old son still sharing a bedroom, I think that's wrong, is it?

I have 5 children - now expecting two more. I never had the same sex of children sharing a room. Granted, at that age, there's nothing that they could do to make the other uncomfortable - but, really it's just not right.

And if you guys ever do a home study in any kind of family court matter, he'll get major points docked for doing so.

By school age they should be separated.

That depends, on the second part. Are you doing whatever it takes to be vindictive and keep taking him back to court to try to get more and more money so that he has no choice but to live that way because he can't afford to do better? Then that way you can use this against him to get full custody? I've seen that many times before. If you are doing that, you are just as low of a life form as a child molester.

Your son won't be able to percentage including his uncle and that i imagine the age is 11. Up till that aspect children in ordinary words count number as 1/2 someone. i ought to get onto the council and get a more suitable living house. you've from what I understand 7 human beings at your residence. surely argue the point with them.

I think its ok until 7 or 8. Thats when they will demand it on their own.

Remember though that in many cultures and poorer families children and whole families share rooms without gender being an issue and turn out just fine.

It's ok, my cousins (2 girls 1 boy) are sharing 1 bedroom in San Jose.

I think it really depends on the maturity of the child. I would say around 7 or 8 is about as long as I would let it go.

Naw. They can share until 10, I'd say. In some states, the siblings never separate (nyuk)

I don't think it is wrong. In many poorer places entire families share one room.

well, it's not exactly wrong, but having seperate bedrooms will help to determine each others personality much better.
