The dough won't rise if you add something that kills the yeast by making it too hot or cold. But then there would have been no point in putting the yeast in in the first place.

Not and still keep the yeast alive.
Freezing is probably your best bet.
I can think of adding any number of things, like salt, Clorox, etc., but I'm assuming you want to keep it edible and still keep the yeast alive. Freezing is the way to go, I think.

you could put in something to kill the yeast like boiling water but if you don't want the bread to rise you should pick a different recipe that doesn't have leavening, plenty of them available

refrigerate it aka retarding the dough or you could freeze it
