AKC will not accept the registry of a litter sired by a dog over rhe age of 11 yr wihout a certificate from a reproductive vet saying they examined him & found him to be fertile.

a dog can reproduce always the problem is that when they get older the sperms aren't as young as they were before and it can cause puppies to have genetic problems, or they can born incomplete problems of this kind.
The best age a male can reproduce will be between 4-7 yrs. I think.
