What are we supposed to do, write to them? Why don't they just put their pictures on the postage stamps so the mailmen could look for them while they delivered the mail?

Because it is federal government property and they CAN.

Lots of people go to the post office.

It is part of the tradition that dates back to the birth of this country (USA). For the longest time the post office was the center of town. It was there that all news and information flowed both about things going on in the town and surrounding areas. So it only made since to put wanted posters there it was for the people of the town to see not the postmen.

So that people that sees them will know who's cousin is that and tell them that the post office is looking for them...

same reason as to why they put pictures on the street; to try and tell people what they look like so they can find the criminals

that's agood idea but I guess they do that because they figure everyone has to go to the post office sometime
