I think bombing suburbs is way over the top. I honestly hope they all kill each other. They are all a bunch of terrorists and Israel is no better than the rest of them.

Do I think Israel over-reacted... to who? Hamas or Hizballah?

To Hamas - Probably not, the capture and imprisonment of a citizen and a soldier (which CPL shalid SP? is both) is an act of terror, and in this case could be considered an act of WAR. If such a thing happened on the US Mexico border where the Mexican Army captured a US National Guard member would we not go and get him if the government would not produce him?

To Hizballah, I would say absolutely not, they interfered in a conflict that was not their concern crossed the border into Israel (of which Gaza is still technically a part of) and perpetrated an act of war on the state of Israel.

Now there are alot of ways to look at this conflict, I personally believe that the Israelis are not as blameless and as put upon by the Arabs and Palestinians as they would have me believe but... in this case under these circumstances I do not blame them for what they have done.

Now I am somewhat dismayed that they have taken actions this serious this quickly, and this crisis seems to be spiraling out of control to an all out war, BUT if it does it will technically be one that HIZBALLAH started.

Put it this way, if some weirdos in Mexico were lobbing rockets into the US every day along the border and the Mexican Government and the Global community did nothing but want to talk about it, how long would it take for the White House to act if the rocket tossing turned into kidnapping people or soldiers along the border? imho...Israel is and has shown amazing restraint. Keep in mind they have the power and weapons to make an ashtray of the whole area...diplomacy in the middle east serves one function. Prolong the crisis.

Not at all!! Israel has been bullied for ages. It has even been said that neighboring countries want to wipe Israel off the map, but, it wont happen. Its about time they fought back against all the terrorist attacks they have been putting up with, they are tired of it... JUST LIKE THE U.S.!!! We are tired of it, and justice needs to be served!

WHO AMBUSHED AN ISRAELI PATROL KILLING THREE AND CAPTURING TWO SOLDIERS.A FURTHER FOUR SOLDIERS WERE KILLED WHEN THERE TANK HIT A MINE. AS THEY WERE TRYING TO GET TO THE FIRST AMBUSH. No, Israel's neighbors have a vested interest in seeing every last jew in a body bag. Israel has the capabilities and right to defend itself, and will continue to do so to the last woman and child.

Absolutely not! Israel has been harrassed and terrorized for decades by it's neighboring Arab countries. Israel should have destroyed Syria, Iran, and Palestine years ago.

I think they're just going back to how it used to be, and what seemed to work better (although much more violent). They have more weapons than any of their neighbors and the bomb! If people are going to push them around and hold their people hostage they aren't going to take it anymore. So, no, I guess I feel like they are just putting their foot down.

absolutely not. Israel is just defending herself and her right to exist. These Muslim extremists and state supported terrorist organizaitons (Hamas, Hezbollah, Al Axa Marters Brigade, etc...) need to be DESTROYED once and for all. For all of our sakes, America's, Europe's, Israel's....
