My girlfriend seemed so loving, been lying constantly,caught & still keeps lying, but says loves me still?

Question

Together a year, always showed me she cares in many ways and words. 2 yrs ago she flunked 2nd year university, and started continuing lie for 2 years to everyone she is still student. Also said she was going to lectures and meeting with professors. I wanted travel this summer together, gave her a diamond ring 6 months ago, she said wanted marry me. She said really wanted to come travel, but final exam would prevent it,lie.Said she failed final exam, lie,her friend checked and there were no exams that day. When confronted, she kept lying, said it was moved up a week, that's impossible. I went traveling and she convinced me to let her stay alone at my place, she was suppossed to get job for summer, but quit after a few days, and been going to one bar most nights alone. When I call at night she never answers, but calls me next day and says she was sleeping. She seemed so loving, honest, all year. Says when I return wants to be with me. I've noticed more lies too, unnecessary lies.What 2 d

You have the answer unfortunately. I know you want us to say something different, something that can fix everything but it is what it is. Liars are selfish and only think about themselves and what makes them happy without any regard to you. She uses people and doesn't care. Take care of yourself and get out of this. Its going nowhere fast.

This girl is living 2 lives and trying to convince herself it is working. Eventually, everyone she knows will catch onto this and she will have to leave and start over elsewhere..
( my brother did this for 8 years, when it all crumbled around him, he left town and has never returned. His parents and other family, friends, ex girlfriend have not even heard from him since. He has an almost 4 year old daughter he has never seen or spoken to either.We assume she is his, he was not able to be found for a DNA test ) ..

You need to think long and hard on this one. Unfortunately, people do this all the time and the only ones who suffer are those left behind in the trail of deceits.

Well,,,,,,obviously this girlfriend of yours has a real problem with telling the truth! If you marry her you are asking for trouble. She'll bring baggage with her that you won't want to have to deal with all the time,mainly her lying ways! How could you trust her? How would you ever know if she is telling you the truth about something? She will always have you guessing!
She needs professional help to overcome her lying all the time. It's up to you what you want to do regardless of what is said here on this board..

Sorry if this comes out harsh, somtimes stuff like this happens... remember that the most important thing in a relationship is communication, if you feel that she has been lying to you and you dont trust her, its better if you end the relationship right now... the sooner the better... dont worry youll find someone else...and before you cut her loose try to figure out why she´s been lying that much
