Bush has cut funding for vetereans health care at a time of war while he gives tax breaks to the weathiest of Americans. Why do troops have to spend their own money if they want decent kevlar chin straps and paddings for their kevlars. Why does he give tax breaks to wealthy people and some military bases dont have enough money to pay for utilites.

When President Bush was first elected, my husband had already been in the military for fifteen years. Since the President has been in office, my husband has received more pay raises then he has ever received in his entire military career. My
father-in -law, who served in Vietnam and retired from the Army after twenty three years of service, also has no complaints about any cuts from the President. He too receives a pay increase on his retirement check every-time the military gets one, and he is perfectly content with the benefits he receives as far as medical for his normal health care problems, as well as for his injuries he received in Vietnam.

How come you don't know the facts Bush can't cut funding for anything, the Congress does that dummy. Why is it that people that are uninformed are the ones who ask these kind of questions everyday? Also never heard of a 'kevlar' chin strap what difference would it make what a chin strap is made of, it's for holding your helmet on.I doubt it wouldn't stop a bullet or piece of schrapne,l it might deflect it a little, but you would have to be extremely lucky. ALso for your info Humvees were not built to be armoured personnel carriers in the first place. They have those they are called Bradley fighting machines and ARMOURED Personnel Carriers or APC for short.Humvee were the replacement for the traditional army jeep.

Your claims aren't true. My son has gotten 2 raises since he's been in the military, and he's been in Iraq for 3 years. Also, we did have to buy his body armour, but we were paid back for it by the military. My family is not wealthy, and we got 1,000k for each kid under the age of 18. We got a 4,000k tax return, and my husband, and I make about 70k a year. I think it's best to get your facts straight before you start mouthing off on here.

Because they're not rich. That, and Bush is not interested in taking care of the troops and veterans. All he cares about is what they can do for him. It's a one-way street right now, one that's not working.

It is one of those tough choices that all repuglcans make. It is far more important to take care of your rich buddy's then to take care of the people that defend you, or have defended you. Reason number 1 that I will never vote for a repuglican candidate for anything is that they are so corrupt.
