Make them a scrapbook if you have pictures or can get pictures of them from the time they first got together up to their wedding day. If not just use what pictures you do have or can get.

If you have known them throughout their relationship, an easy and heartfelt gift would be making a photo frame of pictures of them. They are fairly cheap at target and you can really jazz them up and personalize them.

Fruit of the month or wine of the month subscriptions are also wonderful gifts. The gift that my parent's liked was one for 3 shipments of steaks from Omaha Steaks.

Another thing that you could give is an experience, such as a hotel reservation at a nearby bed and breakfast for their one year anniversary. It is a gift certificate, but not a monetary one.

Lastly, a good bottle of wine with a set of wine glasses and chocolates is a great gift.

I love the idea of the Bible that someone mentioned above. That would be a very thoughtful gift.

If I were you, I'd make it really easy on myself by finding out if they have a registry and purchasing something there. Some couples that have everything create a honeymoon registry.

I wouldn't donate money on their behalf unless I found out there was a special charity organization to them. If you're going to do that, make sure that it's something really important to them... otherwise, it would be meaningless.

The best person to ask to see if they have a registry would be family and friends. I would be very wary of giving them something not from their registry... Or any "unique" gifts that they may really really not value even though you may value it.

Cash is the way to go... (at least in my opinion). You can write them a check, and then write on it that it's to go towards souviners on their honeymoon. Or used towards a down payment on their first home...

Good luck!

My husband and I received a handmade afghan as a gift and we both still treasure it 12 years later. We actually use it. A beautiful picture frame that can hold a double matted 11 x 14 photo from their wedding would be great, although it can get expensive. Did the register anywhere? Check theknot.com, it has most of the registeries in it's database. They may want china now that it's official and you could get them a serving platter or something. Also a personalized platter could be really nice, check online there's a bunch of places that do that.

When my husband and I got married, we received a gift from his sister and my sister that was a surprise when we got home from our honeymoon. We had been living together for 6 years, and between working and planning the wedding, we had let our house go a bit. When we returned, Krystal and Beth had planted flowers by our door, tidied up the house and put 2 dinners and 2 breakfasts in the refrigerator. It was incredible to come home from vacation, and have nothing to worry about, almost like another night in the hotel. Of course, this is only feasible with someone you are close enough to to be running around in their house while they are gone...

I think that a couple that already has everything would most appreciate something that's not tangible. After living together for 10 years they probably have a lot of clutter in their home so a service or something like that might be better. Some ideas are a spa day, hotel voucher, a day for someone to clean their house or get them a personal chef to come to their home and cook them dinner. My mom has a friend who will paint someone's portrait from a photograph, maybe something like that would be really nice.

If you do end up wanting to get them something you can wrap up, try something luxurious. Everyone has towels but monogrammed towels are really nice. Same with bathrobes, or his-and-hers slippers. A collection of romantic movies would be cute. Maybe get them one of those "of the month" clubs that has to do with stuff they like. Chocolates of the month, teas, coffees, fruit.

What about a Bible. They have everthing else that is earthly. A Bible would help them spiritally. If they already have a Bible then a really unique Bible from somewhere cool with a history behind it like some people being saved because of it. The Bible even has poems and words to live by. Check into you local Christian Church, I'm sure they will not mind helping you find one.
And remember Jesus Love You All.

I always like to make a handmade certificate all decorated like the real things and offer my services for a week-end or so to do odd jobs like counting their money, Make sure all their cars have a full tank and cleaned this is always good driving around, you will be surprised what little things people need.
Have Fun

If they have kids, give them the gift of togetherness - offer to babysit their kids for a day or a day and a night so they can get away alone.

If they have no kids, then how about buying them lotto tickets?

Buy a baby fern or any other tree (redenvelope.com) and plant it in their yard or at a local park in their name (check about approval) as a symbol of their growing love.

Forget getting them something "material".....

*donate some money to a charity in their name

*go to a local park and plant a tree in their honor....plaque and everything marking the occasion

Think of things that are more meaningful instead of gifts that may or may not be used

the coolest wedding gift i have ever seen was a picture frame that was made from an antique window frame. just take the frame from an old window, add some black and white photos of the couple and it's an instant romantic classic.
