I've got a lot of links to wildlife carers from a lot of countries on my site, at
http://au.geocities.com/leaswebsite/links under "Wildlife Assistance" - just click on them all, click on your country and state, have a browse, 'phone them and ask their advice.
Very very best of luck.

Give it as much seed as it will eat, and always water too. Some birds like chopped fruit but not to much or it will give him diarrhea. Keep paper in the bottom of the cage and change it every day. Once a month or so, take out all the perches and toys and wash them thoroughly.
If it is a baby bird with no feathers yet, you have to hand-feed it about once an hour during the day. We have a little guy like that right now and he likes dry catfood soaked in water, and today we fed him two mealy-worms. He is just starting to grow feathers. It is very important to keep baby birds warm (we have ours on a heating pad, set on low) and clean - we change the paper he rests on every time he poops. When caring for a baby bird like this you have a one in three chance - maybe of keeping him alive. But if you do it is a great feeling.

Ok I cant giive you exact info but I will give you the basics.
a bird is an individual and will eat how much it wants whenever it wants.
A bird will eat whatever depending on the specie.
A birds cage should be cleaned everyday, like water changes 2 times a day, change the food everyday, and change the cage liner everyday. And a wekly scrubbing of the cage will do.
A bird also depending on whether hand fed or not will need at least 2 hours of one on one social interaction with its owner everyday, and another 2 hours playing outside the cage.

I have a parakeet, and here's some info...
Feed them about half a cup of food a day, if not a little more. Clean their cages about every other day. Depending on the type of bird, you can find specialized foods at almost any pet store.

what kind of bird? what kind of beak - this will give you a clue as to what he will eat -
the BEST thing to do is contact your local bird watchers' society or veterinary college and find him the home he needs - which you might not be able to provide.

Well, I used to have a parakeet and I had Feeders on her cage and she ate and drank when ever she wanted to....I would change her cage about every 3days, she was a pooper :) and pretty messy.
