The earliest regarded celebration of N***** to advise a black individual is in Robert Burns' poem The Ordination in 1786, and it really is extremely derogatory: Come, enable a suitable textual content be examine An' contact it off with vigor, How graceles Ham leugh at his Dad Which made Canaan a n*****; yet then, what ought to you anticipate from a Scots poet (although a minimum of he replaced into in no way Justice Secretary) ? .... The word niger replaced into not the usual word for a depressing-skinned individual in Latin, as we may be able to work out from Catullus' XCIII. 'correct Contributor' status on Y!A will frequently advise both a mediocre (secure) contributor, or (extra typically) a area-managed drone.

I sincerely loath racism, and am continually floored by the fact that it still exits in this day and age. How utterly asinine that we (society) continue to judge anyone based on the colour of a person's skin. I'm sorry you were called that awful term, but just remember that you are certainly not such a derogatory insult, but instead a wonderful human being.

To celeine 8388. Not all people are "racist". But I do believe all people have a form of predjudice in them. A racist hates someone or a group of people solely on there race or skin color. Me personally I'm predjudice against ignorant acting people wether they be white, black or whatever. I am of mixed race (white/black) and I relate w/ both of my heritages, mostly my black side, and I'll tell you why. Society as a whole sees me as " not white" so I get treated as such. I find that the black community embraces me and sees me as one of theres. I have never encountered any caucassion that said " you know, let me give him the benefit of the doubt, he is half white," never. Now because of that I don't hold it against white people or make me think less of them. Because I can honestly see how people can be predjudice against blacks because alot of them(alot not all) act ignorant and very un educated. Racism stems from fear and lack of understanding and being uneducated. My experience has shown that the most racist people are also the poorest and uneducated people. They feel so bad about their life and hate themselves so much that racism is the only way to make themselves feel better. They feel so inferior that hating people or "white power" makes them superior in their minds. I don't condone racism one bit black or white. But in my experience I've found that the blacks that are racist are so out of how they are treated by white society. White racist hate soley because "that group don't look like me" and "if it ain't white it aint right."wether they be blacks, asian, spanish or of arab decent. All "Racism is ugly.

Racism only shows ingorance.
If you are well educated and smart, rise above it and consider the source........a different colored moron with no respect for humanity, with a dirty mouth to boot.
Yes...I hate racism ! I am as white as they come, but I will never forget the Rodney King incident, and his comment " why can't we all just get along?"

Racism has its place. As long as the Race card is bring played by everyone who has a problem with a person of another race then there is a place for racism. Johnny Cochran played it to get a murderer off so why can't I play it to help me? As long as Sharpton and Jackson play it....I too will use it.

God bless you Diamond. I'm white. Racism is stupid. I hate all racism. I grew up with a mother who hated anyone who wasn't white, and she flipped when I dated because I dated all races. Just because someone is a different color than someone else doesn't mean they are different in any other way than the color of their skin.

I HATE racism. But, I don't hate racists. They are people just like everybody and merely need to be educated.

Your "education" in no way prevents you from being what you are. However, if a simple word or "name" offends you, I'd be inclined to believe that it does so because you, deep down inside, believe it to be correct. And by the way, saying "that word "BE" used" would indicate that your so-called "education" was somewhat lacking.
