Who knows really how they would react to any emergancy. We only hope we have the courage to do the right thing.Life's heros are those people who never think twice about risking their life or the potential danger to themselves. It is silly to choose one person over the other, one only has to hope they are never put to the test.

Tough one but here goes. If you have a daughter that means you are of adult age, presumably. Therefore your Mother would be of considerable years. So she has already had something of a life. You did not give the daughers age but based on this assessment I think you would have to save your daughter as she has yet to live life and be productive to scociety. Mum has lived a life and daughter should have that same chance.

My daughter...my mother has passed away. I would save my daughter regardless. Why? My Mother would have wanted me to save my daughter.

Mothers instinctively have the inclination to save their daughters first. After all, it only makes sense. I don't have any children, but I do have neices. I know that it's not the same, but I know how I feel every time they bump their heads or cry or laugh, and I know that if my neices life was in jeopardy, I would instinctively save her over my mother, my brother, my sister-in-law, my father or any other adult. It wouldn't matter if she was 1 or 40.

I think if I had a daughter I would save her instead of my mother, because my mom has always said that she would rather have her die rather than me, and she would understand. I would also save my daughter because it would be the maternal feeling that I would have to protect her.

My daughter. I gave birth to her and there's no love in the world like the love of a mother for her child

If I had a choice to save one or the other, I would save them both. How I would do that is like this. It looks like there are two people who can be saved myself and another so i would take one or the others place so they can both live.

Well I don't have any kids so, my mom. If I had a daughter I would probably save her though. One reason would be that my mom has lived a wonderful life already and another would be that my mom would absolutely hate herself if she knew she was alive because her granddaughter wasn't.
