I am making payments on my home but am short for taxes and need to come up with $2,000.00. MY job dont pay real well but so far have managed to make my payments. I do not want to lose my home because of the taxes

Perhaps the best solution would be to get a second (part time) job to allow you to make more money to pay the tax bill!

You might want to try searching the web for this one, it would largely depend on what state you live in.
There are many companies that will give you a loan if you have a car (they would hold the title). Just be wary. Check with the Better Business Bureau to make sure that you don't fall for a predatory lender.

Seriously, if you contact your tax collector, you may be able to make some arrangement to pay part of it and catch up later. You can be a bit behind and still keep your home.
