Jehovahs Witnesses are true Christians
We believe that the entire Bible is the inspired word of God.We hold to the Bible as a standard for all our beliefs.
We worship Jehovah as the only true God(Psalms 83:18 , Exodus 6:3)
We believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God,the first of all God's creations, that he sacrificed his life for imperfect humans so that we have the chance to receive everlasting life, something that our first parents Adam & Eve lost.
We believe that God's Kingdom is the only hope for mankind;that it is a real government;that it will soon destroy the present wicked system of things, including all human governments, and that it will produce a new system in which righteousness will prevail.
We believe that God's original purpose for the earth will be fulfilled;that the earth will be completely populated by worshipers of the true God and that these will be able to enjoy eternal life in human perfection;that even the dead will be brought back to life with an opportunity to also share in those blessings.
We believe that the dead are conscious of absolutely nothing; that they are experiencing neither pain nor pleasure, that they exist in God's memory,so hope for their future lies in a resurrection from the dead.
We believe that we are living now, since 1914 in the last days of this wicked system of things;that some living today will also see the destruction of the present wicked world;that lovers of righteousness will survive into a paradise earth.
We remain separate from the world just as Jesus commanded us to do.We remain neutral when it comes to politics or warfare against our fellowman.
We strive to apply Bible counsel in every aspect of life.

I studied with the JW's for over a year, I have read every book they've ever published, and I have several friends who are active in that religion, so I think I'm pretty well informed.
Jehovah's Witness follow the teaching of the Watchtower Society in Brooklyn, New York. The bible they use is called the New World Translation, and it was translated by Watchtower big wigs, none of whom were fluent in either Greek, Hebrew, or Aramaic. Their bible changes key verses to suit their teachings. For example, they alter John 1:1 to read as follows: In the beginning there was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was A God......(Quite a bit different from: The Word was God.....)
JW's believe that they attain salvation by works, not faith. The Watchtower Society dictates their every belief and if the Watchtower Society changes their stand on anything, they justify it by saying that "the light of knowledge is getting brighter"
The reason I never became a JW is because I saw no joy, no love for Christ at their services. Everything was about studying Watchtower material. It wasn't what true Chritianity is all about. As a gropu, I think they are very upstanding citizens, but unfortunately, they follow a man-made organization instead of Christ.

Jehovah's Witnesses (JW) are an interesting case.
On the one hand, they claim to be Christian.
On the other hand, they claim not to be Christian.
[Both statements can be found in their manual on converting people to their faith. The first is stated when the JW is told that the prospect is a Christian. The second is used when the JW is told that the prospect wants nothing to do with Christians.]
There are some major differences between the English of The New World Translation (NWT), and both the New International Version, and the KJV.
Cross-referencing the NWT with the various Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic, and Latin texts is interesting, because of how the NWT avoids meanings that violate their basic theology.
Something to ponder upon, is why the license for the Jehovah's Witness CD prohibits distribution to people who are not Jehovah's Witnesses. It also specifically states that it may not be distributed to libraries, or educational institutions.

Has your minister, priest or religious leader mentioned this wonderful hope to you? Of course they have not, most clergymen say nothing about it. In fact, many do not even believe the Bible. This is an important reason why Jehovah’s witnesses call at the homes of people of other religions.
The efforts of Jehovah’s witnesses to approach people in public and at their homes are rooted in the Word of God. Jesus himself went directly to the people, and he instructed his apostles and disciples to do likewise.
The Witnesses’ beliefs, based entirely on God’s Word, the Bible, prevent them from falling into the trap of becoming a sect or a cult. They take a kindly interest in all other people, of whatever religious persuasion. No, they do not try to force these people to change their viewpoint. They endeavor to imitate their Leader, Christ Jesus, by presenting Scriptural evidence of the trouble-free Paradise that will soon be established on earth.—Matthew 28:19, 20; 1 Peter 2:21.
Recently a clergyman in Brooklyn, New York, obtained a copy of the book The Truth That Leads to Eternal Life. He was so impressed with the chapter dealing with prayer that he used the book to teach members of his church this chapter in a special meeting. Later he was asked by one of them, “Are you teaching us out of those Jehovah’s witnesses’ books?”
He replied: “It is the truth, isn’t it? When you want Sunday-school literature, you buy it from several sources, don’t you? Well, Jehovah’s witnesses teach the truth. Furthermore, when you see Jehovah’s witnesses with the Watchtower magazine, you ought to take it, because they print the truth.”

To some somethings up..........
The JW's belive that Christ died on a Stake.
Christ was not "christ" until his baptism
Christ was ressurected as a sprit not a body.
They dont celebrate holidays because of 2 deaths realted to b-days
Dont even get them started on the Trinity.
It DOES contradict the Bible
If your intrested check these out.

I'm not a JW either and a committed Christian, but it strikes me as funny our concern for facts. There's a fundamental contradiction here: if we say that we live by faith (therefore we believe) then facts become relative. Facts are necessary and their purpose is to question our faith. That's why we need science so much. I wouldn't pile up facts against anybody's beliefs unless I'm allowed to interact on scientific data and my questioning is, if not welcomed, at least needed.

Jehovah witnesses come to my home a lot. I let them in they talk and leave books but I have never read them and I listen to half of what they are saying. I've never been mean to any of them. I just don't know anything about their belief's and I don't care too really. I'm happy being a christian. I'm not into learning about other Religions. I spend all my time studying mine.

Marlenemelvin,
Would you please explain to me what is a "true Christian"? Does anyone know? I have spent a lot of time reading the scriptures, and I have never seen it said anywhere, that you can enter God's Kingdom as a member of a group. Any group. Your salvation, is based upon your personal relationship with God. Jesus spoke plainly to the fact that a lot of "christians" will not be entering the Kingdom, because He never knew them. I have never read anywhere that they would not enter, because they belonged to the wrong group. God deals with us as individuals. I challenge anyone to prove otherwise.

If you think about a grand creator God and then his only begotten son Jesus - how does this contradict?
Are you saying and or believeing they are one in the same?
Why then would you have to go through Jesus to approach God and pray in his son;s name to be heard?
Just a thought
