How bout going to the nearest animal shelter, at least with this you're giving a dog a second chance at life and to be happy. You'll feel alot better doing a good deed of the day. Plus they're way cheaper than from a breeder's.

It depends, are they (the ones available now and the ones available in October) different breeds? If so then it would depend on the breed that you want that would be best for your lifestyle. If they are the same breed, see if the breeder can e-mail you either pics or video of the puppies. That way you could get some insight into their personalities. If the breeder can't send you anything, you might want to take the trip, or find a closer breeder =)
The best choice would be to decide what works for you, will you be better off waiting to get a puppy? Would you be able to accomodate the puppy with your work/school/homelife?
If you feel that you are ready now.. then go for it. All you have to lose is 4 hours and some gas. What you could gain is a loving companion.
If it doesnt work out, then there is always October. That way you aren't putting all of your eggs in one basket.

I think that it all depends on how bad you want that dog. You would need to ask yourself a lot of questions, such as, Is this the breed of dog that i want? Are the puppies that are due to come in October guaranteed? I've learned that you should wait at least 48 hrs before you make a big decision in life, if you can live 48 hrs without that someone or something, then odds are you're not going to die without it and can probably wait until later to have that someone or something. Meaning that you shouldn't jump and buy that puppy because the ones on October or any other month may be the perfect companion for you.

Unless you are buying a show puppy and were promised pick of the litter it really doesn't matter how many puppies you have to chose from since the breeder will help pet owners make the best match possible (if they are responsible breeders). Have you thoroughly checked this breeder out? Do they do health testing (not just simple vet exams), temperament testing, pedigree research, show or have their dogs evaluated? How many litters do they have in a year? Do they simply just crank out puppies when ever a female is in heat?

Can the breeder email you pics of the 2 available? If so, you could look at the pics and at least see if you like the way pups look before driving there. Also, is this the only way you can get a puppy? What about giving petfinder.com a try and adopting a pet that has no home?

a wise decision would be to wait until your breeder has more pups to choose from. its always nice to have a selection, plus you dont want to end up with a dog you dont want. if that fails ,then go to a shelter and do one of those dogs a favor and adopt. good luck with the puppy

do not use a stroller. Yorkies are very lively canines, she will be able to be more desirable than satisfied to accompany you on her own 4 legs- and considering Yorkies are VERY weak to weight problems, it's going to be a lot fit for her to get a large number of exercising. we've an 8 month previous Yorkie and he or she runs circles round our 3 Papillons- in simple terms get a snug harness and leash and go away her on the floor the position canines belong. I desire health over organic decision.

wait till October. Getting a dog is a huge commitment, that way you have time to make sure it is not just a passing thought.

i say drive out there and see if you like one of the puppies. you never know you might just fall in love with one of them and if you don't you'll regret it for a long time.

only you can answer that question. if the pups you see don't make an impression on you than wait for the next litter.
