My wife and I are getting cabin fever and are looking for things to do when you have an 18 month old son. We always go to the drive in movies and the zoo. Any other ideas?

You can go for a picnic at the park, babies love the park. Bring bubbles and some toys and toddler snacks. Or the beach if you live nearby, or the pool.

go anywhere you want. At 18 months you son is just going to be happy to be with you both where does not much matter yet. go to the park and let him run in the grass. Go to museums go to anything and everything you want to go to and take him along

Here's the thing, where is not half as important as the time you spend with him. It will do him a world of good as to making him feel loved and secure in the world AND it will be good for the two of you

Take lots of pictures and remember that being with each other is the most important in fact the only important thing You will treasure these days when the boy is grown and gone and that will come sooner than you think. You will love your child through all of his phases and ages but take it from a mom with children that are grown, This is the very best time, from now until about 4, even with the sleepless nights and diaper changes and ear infections and potty training looming ahead, He is your darling now remeber this when he becomes a bratty 10 year old or a sullen teenager. Memories you keep today are what will get you through when Little darling become Pain in the Neck, or lower. Treasure every single day you will regret every moment you didn't.

Do you have anyone to watch your child? For the longest time, my husband and I only went to the pool, the park, the zoo, and stuff like that. There are some children's museums that have exhibits that intrest adults. Depending where you are, many of the museums and shings like that have a free family night. Here in San Antonio, the Witte Museum has a free family night on either Tuesdays or Thursdays after 3PM. If you have someone to watch your child, then go out and do the things you and your wife used to do!! Good luck and have fun!!!!!

Parent and child gymnastics classes are a lot of fun, and 18 months is about the right age to start.

An amusement park, like Worlds of Fun. Or Oceans of Fun (that'll be much cooler.) A lake near you that has a beach, or the pool.

Take the youngster to a movie, but sit near the exit in case the loud noises, bright flashes of light and constant darkness freak him out. I'm serious. Get the little guy used to things like that; who knows, he might like it, and you got to go out. Same way with going out to eat - I hate to generalize, but it's my observation that Chinese restaurant owners/staff just love babies ... way more than other places. Get the kid out in the world and let him experience it. Pack that diaper bag, haul that stroller, get back out in the game, people. YOU CAN DO IT!

Some Gyms have baby sitting, if you like to work out.
Chucky Cheese/McDonald's play land has baby friendly stuff.

How much do you want to spend? Disney Cruises have babysitting, I think.

Ask your parents to babysit??

Good luck
