Once my GF told me to come over to watch the game at 3pm sharp. I arrive 5 minutes early, and she wasn't there. I left several messages on her cell, waited about 20 minutes and finally left. Later, I got a call with her telling me she was out shopping. This caused a big fight. She said I was making a big deal out of nothing. I think it was extremely rude. Who's right?

Here's some more info. I forgot to mention that her excuse was that she had gotten caught in a long line at the shopping center. I didn't think it was a valid excuse, since she had her cell phone with her (turned off of course).

Also, i was very concerned about her well being. That's part of the reason I was so mad...

I think this was totally rude and immature. It also seems a bit controlling also. If she knows you are waiting for her she knows exactly where you will be.

Yeah that's pretty rude. If you tell someone to be at a certain place at a certain time you should be there. It was quite rude of her to leave and not even have a good reason.

I think you're right.

If she really lost track of time, it was an accident and apologized for her tardiness that'd be one thing... but if she expects you to wait around on her and be totally fine with being treated like a second priority (or less) that's self absorbed and bitchish.

people who are tardy are usually arrogant, in the sense that they feel their time is of more value than the ones waiting for them. If She is constantly late, even when she doesn't have to be, that may be a characteristic of her, but if its just a one time thing, then I wouldn't make a big fuss about it. Sometimes things happen.

i think it was very rude of her, if a guy would have done that it would have been a huge horrible thing that the girl would have blown up at. so i think u r "right" but there is no right and wrong in a relationship, it is a team.

No, it's not rude. **** happens. Things change. And getting angry about it instead of being concerned for her welfare (even though she was okay in the long run) actually makes you the selfish one.

You are right by all means. She sounds selfish and is taking you for granted.I wouldn't trust her again until she earned it.She needs to consider the feelings of you and others....
