What is a good beer for a beginner?

I absolutely cannot drink beer and really really wish i could because I am tired of liquor. What is a smooth beer that doesnt have a horrible beer taste that goes down easy?

I Do not like beer, but if I have to I chose MIchelob. Michelob has about 10 or so different flavors and they are all smooth so there should be something that you like. Also I really like Blue Moon. It is a wheat beer so it has a dif. flavor all together. Around fall time you can come across Blue Moon Pumpkin Ale and it isn't too bad either. Hope this helps.

I am going to go against every one here and say a brown ale. why because brown ale is what i consider one of the most unoffensive beers. most of the beers listed by other people were either week light beers (that is what probably put you off from drinking beer in the first place) or fruity beers (and no self respecting Liquor drinker wants to be seen with a girlie beer) . Corona, or go with a malt beverage like Smirnoff Ice, or Smirnoff Twisted V's. They come in all different flavors in a 12 oz. bottle just like a beer: black cherry, watermelon, green apple, orange, raspberry, wild grape and they have about the same percentage of alcohol as a beer. That's what I drink cause I can't stand beer and I can't do hard liquor.

If your not a fan of beer start light and fruity. Like a Pyramid Apricot Hefeweitzen or maybe Pete's Summer Strawberry. The Lambics styles are a good start as well although they are a little sweet and tart.

Try Stella Artois, it is light but doesn't taste like nasty bud lite or coors. Or, you may want to try a Cider, they have some really flavorful ones that get you mighty drunk and you don't even know it.
