Yes. I thought I was getting married, and then I got a letter from the federal government on 04/01/06 saying HAHAHAHAHA!!! You are the victim of a sham U.S. Military marriage.

Lady, didn't you know the score before you had the "sham U.S. Military marriage."

If your husband went into the military and got sent overseas, that is his problem. He joined the miliitary and nobody forced him.

You married him and nobody forced you. Maybe you should think things through beforehand so you won't have to be embittered after you become mired in the slog of your own shortsighted actions.

A sham military marriage? Why? Because your husband isn't home all the time? Well, Welcome to military life! I don't like being away from my husband either, but you know separation from your spouse is part of the deal when you marry a service member. Be proud of him and that you're a military wife! And if you can't be proud of him, then divorce him so he can find someone that will support him.

I don't feel for one moment that my marriage to my military husband is a sham. I couldn't be more proud of him for what he does. Yes, when we have to be apart, It's hard and the kids and I miss him terribly. But I was aware of his job before I married him, and I knew what I was getting into.
I'm guessing by the negativity of your question that you're a military wife and you and your husband are having some sort of problem. Don't blame the military for that, that's something the two of you need to deal with and work on.

In any sham military marriage, there are only two possible victims: the US Government, and any children that may come about. The two spouses are perpetrators, not victims.

Why don't you support your husband instead of sitting there complaining about your marriage because it wasn't all you thought it would be. Your husband along with mine and alot of other womens is serving OUR contry. So why don't you try to stand behind him, if you can't do that then stand in front of him, and join the military yourself.

Be proud of your husband. Don't complain about how you are getting screwed over. At least you don't have to worry about roadside bombs here. Instead of complaining why don't you thank him for being so self less and serving his country

You should stop complaing and join the military and be over there fighing alongside your husband, and instead of taking all his money.
