WHY DO GUYS LIKE THEM?????? it isnt fair. they are so mean cant guys see THAT?????? i know that they are nice to some people, but..... PEOPLE ARE LIKE THAT.... ATLEAST AT MY SCHOOL. i guess guys just like them :(

i totally agree with u!! the girls are pretty thats y. alothough i dont think most of them are. plus its just the way to be. maybe the guys want to be popular if they're ever going out. think of it this way.....
u r a guy and u see this kinda pretty nerd that no one likes and this non aattractive popular girl with tons of friends. who would u pick? the popular one right? or if u said no then thats good. anyway, guys would pick the popular one to be popular. if they pick the nerd, thier whole reputation will go down the toilet

Truth in a nutshell... its all about convenience and acceptance... Especially in High school... Life for a high school male or female is usually about their appearance... comments like what will ppl think or I dont wanna seem like X or Y are the law of the land... and for some reason many colleges are the same... you could probably attribute that to the fact that no one is looking for a good relationship in high school at least not one that will last long term... so why not be popular if youre just gonna use the other person for personal gratification anyways... Cold hard fact... obviously this doesnt apply to everyone... but its the general mentality... the bad boy and the popular girl arent usually the marriage material theyre the fun material... thats it in a nutshell

The guys that like the popular people are looking for validation and they think if the popular people include them or pay attention to them, it makes them look like they are important or a worthy human being. They will grow up eventually and realize that it doesn't matter what the popular people think and that being snotty is not a good quality in someone.

That would be because most popular people, male and female are skinny, dress in the latest fashions, are rich most of the time and are,well...popular. If a guy can get a handle on a cheer leader, then they believe that they have touched a god or something. Its strange to me, so don't worry yourself about it, and don't fall for a football player or a jock too hard, they will break your heart 99.9% of the time.

well ok i have to admit i am some what popular but face it a lot of popular gurls are mean and rude b/c they can be and get away with it and please dont get it in your head everyone that is popular is snobby because it isnt true just like not all the geeks are nice and just like with everygroup not all of them are nice somone is always mean i just think a lot of popular people are mean because like i said they can get away with it,they dont know they are being mean, or they are trying to cover up their own problems. guys look at the popular gurls and see hott ''perfect'' gurls and they see them selfves being like that since they would be with her i mena when you look at the popular guys what do u see most of the time they are VERY VERY hott and they can end up being *** holes or sweet but you dont know it yet until you try them out, but when you look at the geeky guys and the popular guys at first glance with out getting to know them you would probly pic a popular guy . same thing with guys. and not all guys dig popular gurls they get old really fast cause once she has dated all of his friends then he isnt as likely to want her.... or he might just want her more it is just the way things are. any ways i hope that everything works out and that you stop thinking all the popular gurls are out to get you cause we arent we probly have worse problems then you we just hide it really good. and i hope that i have answered your question..... sorry for the lecture

Because the girls are always attractive and most of the time nice(in my case). Plus some people use this as a way to climb the popularity pyramid.

Not me, I dated a few "popular" people, it just shows you how bitchy they can really be. I prefer people more down to earth and nice. And it's like that in every school I've been to as well(and I've been to too many scools to count.) Besides, dating a popular girl makes you a tag along, dating a not popular girl makes you a rebel. Who the **** cares about REPUTATION?

Sounds to me like you like a boy who likes a popular girl. So now you are blamming her, rather than facing up to the fact that he likes her. It is a typical case of emotional transference. You need to face reality and realize that he isn't the ne for you. Move on. There are plenty of unpopular boys who you can go out with.
